Student Employment

• Interact with Student Financial Services, Human Resources and Payroll

• Students are limited in number of hours/week

• Maximum you can earn for the academic year is on your award letter

• Pre-employment paperwork (I-9, W4)

• Last year more than 1,600 students worked at least 1 hour/week

• Students held over 2,400 positions• Students earned over $2.7 million

during 2013-14 academic terms

• Work assignments were emailed to students in mid-August

• Don’t have a position?• Can’t remember where you were

placed? Who your supervisor is?• Work amount is on your financial aid

• 8 hours/week; 10 hours/week subsequent years

• All positions pay $9.28/hour during the academic year

• No vacation, holiday or sick pay• Breaks are required if you work more than

four consecutive hours in a day• If you get hurt on the job…• Communicate, communicate, communicate

• Web Time Entry (WTE)– What it is?– Entered daily and why– WTE Tutorial– Due dates and late WTE process

Student Payroll Tuition Authorization

(optional process)

• Authorize a percent of earnings to be applied to your tuition account

• Both term and break earnings

• Enter and maintain percentage via The HUB

• Direct Deposit for payroll/wages– Log onto The HUB – Select “payroll bank account”– Enter and submit bank routing number
