QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION AND DISCUSSION How does the experience of a farmer waing for the harvest compare with our experience of waing for Christs return? If you believed Christ was coming back in 2020, what would you care about? How does that compare with what you really care about today? When Jobs life was falling apart, he cried out to God in his anger, con- fusion, and pain. Who do you cry out to in your pain? If not God, why not? What is holding you back? Do you feel impaent about something that is not right in your life or the world? If so, what are you disbelieving about the Gospel that feeds your impaence? Jesus is coming back to make all things right/new. Because my future is secure, I will let go of my disappointments and regrets. [Rev chap. 21] Jesus forgave the inexcusable in me, therefore I will let go of my offences and forgive others. [Luke 23:34; Col 3:13] Jesus is the Supreme King/Redeemer. Because He is in complete control, I will let go of my anxiety/stress and fully trust in His sovereignty. [Col 1:15- 20; Ma 26:53; 1 Peter 1:3-6] Jesus is the Good Provider. Therefore, I will stop looking to inadequate things and will find my rest in Him. [Ma 11:28-30; Jn 4:10,13-14; 6:36- 40,47-51; Phil 4:19; 2 Cor 12:8-9; Eph 1:3-4; 2 Peter 1:1-4] Jesus is worthy of all worship and obedience. Therefore, I will stop fearing people and will rejoice in the privilege of suffering for Him. [Rev 5:9-14; Phil 1:29-30; 1 Jn 4:4; Acts 5:40-42; Ma 10:28; Heb 13:6]
