These engine kit additions expand our broad Navistar® program to include the model year 2004 engine range. These engines incorporate four valve cylinder heads, second generation HEUI injection and EGR exhaust technology. For complete engine overhaul the additional modular style gasket sets required are also available from Interstate-McBee. Reference engine serial numbers for proper kit selection.

Interstate-McBee uses only forged steel piston crowns for proper strength and durability. The forged steel piston crowns feature extruded bronze bushings for proper load carrying properties. We also offer major overhaul kits along with piston kits with the crowns listed above.

Both of these thickness graded gaskets are now available individually at Interstate-McBee. When over boring or using salvage sleeves on an ISB 5.9L EGR engine one of the above head gaskets will also be required. Refer to the OEM service literature to properly check piston protrusion and determine which graded gasket should be used.

This kit contains the injector and valve camshaft bushings required to re-bush one ISX/QSX dual camshaft cylinder head. Order one number and get all the bushings. Interstate-McBee is now servicing ceramic pin and roller kits for popular Detroit Diesel® Series 60 engine applications. These service kits include the latest design ceramic rollers for durability. Be sure that the pins are properly aligned with the oil feed gallery during installation. Alignment marks are stamped on the axel pins to aid in assembly. Service bushings A-8929059 (15mm wide) and A-8929536 (20mm wide) are also available. These bushings must be finished to final size after installation.
