New Presidents of societies
Canada: It was announced last December that Stan Dosso will benext President of the Canadian Acoustical Association~CAA/ACA !. StanDosso is a Professor at the University of Victoria. He is a Fellow ofAcoustical Society of America.
Europe: A new board of officers was elected by the European Acotics Association~EAA! with Michael Vorlander of the Technical UniversityAachen, Germany, as President. Michael Vorla¨nder is a Member of theAcoustical Society of America. J.-D. Polack~France! and E. Kozaczka~Po-land! were elected Vice-Presidents.
Germany: The German Acoustical Society~DEGA! has elected HugoFastl to be the next President. He will begin his two-year term in the fal2004. Fastl is a Professor at the Technical University of Munich; heFellow of the Acoustical Society of America.
United Kingdom: The new President of the Institute of Acoustic~IoA! will be Tony Jones who will take over from President Kerry. Joneswith AIRO Ltd.; he is a Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics and a Membof the Acoustical Society of America.
