APPRECIATION & MOTIVATIONAL DAY FOR YEAR 10B 4th October 2011

Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Hasan held a certificate presentation ceremony for Year 10B and

5R students before they go for their BGCE „O‟ Level Examination. Present during the ceremony

was the school‟s principal, Cikgu Hajah Suriani Bte Haji Noor Hashim.

The event which was organized by the Science Department was aimed to recognize the students

who have made improvement in their respective science subjects namely Combined science,

Biology, Chemistry and Physics. During the event, appreciation certificates were also being given

to students who scored high marks in the recent „Math Quizzie‟ organized by the Mathematics

Department. Certificates were also given to 10B prefects for their contributions to the school.

The certificate presentation ceremony was followed by success stories shared by two Master Degreein Teaching teacher candi-

dates currently doing their attachment in the school and motivation message by the Madam Principal herself. The Senior Mis-

tress, Cikgu Siti Marienah Bte Haji Umar also shared her tips in „Bengkel Kesedaran Dan Motivasi Diri‟ followed by a motivation

message by the Deputy Principal, Cikgu Hjh Aiasah Bte Hj Japar.

The highlight of the ceremony was the screening of an inspirational video entitled „Pelajar Pergi Jauh‟ portraying the journey of

our ex-SMSH students who are currently pursuing their studies abroad. It is hoped that with this event, students are motivated to

work hard and to continue to strive toward excellence.

SOLAT HAJAT FOR YEAR 8 & 10B STUDENTS 29th September 2011

NEW PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION 2011 - 2013 21st October 2011

On the 21st October, Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Hasan held

an election for the new Parents -Teachers Association (PTA)

2011 – 2013. Before electing the new association committee, a

brief speech was given by the former chairman (PTA 2009 –

2011), Haji Arine Bin Haji Budin followed by a slideshow on all

the activities conducted by the school and the PTA from 2009 –

2011.

The nominees for the new PTA were among the parents whose children are currently studying in

the school. After the voting by all the teachers and parents, Dr Mohd Adi Zaky Bin Haji Matasim

was voted as the new chairman, Awg Nudin Bin Haji Mohammad as the new Secretary Assistant

and Awg Kamran Bin Haji Jafaruddin as the new Treasurer Assistant.

Before sitting for their GCE „O‟ Level and School Progress Examination (SPE), Sekolah Menengah

Sayyidina Hasan held Solat Hajat, Solat Dhuha, Bacaan Surah Yaasin for Year 10B and 8 students

as well as “Doa Selamat” in conjunction of the 24th Teachers‟ Day Celebration 23hb September

2011. Also present during the ceremony were the school‟s principal, Senior Masters, Year 8 and

10B subject teachers and the ceremony was led by Imam Masjid Kampong Pengkalan Batu, Tuan

Haji Zainal Bin Haji Othman. A total of 266 students and 304 students will be sitting for their SPE

(10th October – 29th October) and GCE „O‟ Level (10th October – 18th November) respectively.

RE-EVALUATION APPRAISAL 2012 WORKSHOP 19th & 20th September 2011

A two days workshop was held for re-evaluating the performance appraisal 2012 to add the

academic performance which will include the target setting for examination, improvement in

students‟ examination, active learning and action research. Participant for the workshop

involved the Senior Masters, Head of Departments, Assistant Head of Departments, Head

of Sections and a representative from each department.

The workshop was coordinated by the school‟s admin-

istration and delivered by the school‟s Principal, Cikgu

Hajah Suriani Binti Haji Noor Hashim. In the workshop,

participants also discussed on how to apply Rubric Sys-

tem on the general characteristics in the performance

appraisal.

Sayyidina Hasan secondary school held a two days briefing which was organized by the ICT club. The first session was held on Thursday, 12th May 2011 at Multi-purpose hall for Year 9 students and the second session was held on Friday 13th May 2011 at ICT lab for parents. The briefing started with recital of Al-Fatihah. Both briefing was presented by Ak Md Farid Zulhusni bin Pg Aziz from AiTi. During the briefing, Ak Md Farid Zulhusni had shown a video clip on “Phishing” and “Social Networking Security Tips”. He also demonstrated preventive measures to protect computers from unauthorized access. He then explained that Microsoft had provided free antivirus software called “Microsoft Security Essentials”. Those who were interested can visit the website: www.microsoft.com/security/essentials. Towards the end of the briefing, a question-answer session was held followed by a prize presentation by Deputy Principal Academic, Cikgu Hjh Aiasah binti Hj Japar.
