ALLEN D. DEIBLERAl Deibler devoted his professional life to fight forthe rights of people in need, and made his mark as ahighly effective advocate for local people withintellectual and developmental disabilities. Mr.Deibler served as Lehigh County MentalHealth/Mental Retardation Administrator in the1980’s, and was later employed by The Arc where heserved as an advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Lehigh Valleyuntil he passed away in 1995. His love of life, hisfamily and the significant contributions he made tohis beloved community will never be forgotten. Withdeep appreciation, we dedicate this tournament inmemory of our friend, Al Deibler.

GOLF CLASSIC PROCEEDSBENEFIT THE ARCIn its 33 year history, the Allen D. DeiblerMemorial Golf Tournament has grown to becomeone of the most anticipated benefit golftournaments in the Lehigh Valley and one of TheArc’s largest annual fundraising events. Tournamentproceeds benefit The Arc’s Advocacy Servicesprogram, which provides Education Advocacy forchildren and youth with intellectual anddevelopmental disabilities, and Adult Advocacy thatassists adults and their families with issues thatinclude employment, residential, estate planningand the criminal justice system, to name a few. Inaddition, we provide specialized training sessions ontopics of interest to families and others who servethis population, and a Family Resource Centerlending library that houses the largest collection ofresources on intellectual and developmentaldisabilities in the Lehigh Valley. We are the onlyprovider of Advocacy Services in our community,free of charge.
