From the President: Your credit union remains strong through May YTD with $828.9 million in assets, and 31,476 members. Our capital has grown 5.21% to $106.8 million, yielding a net worth ratio of 12.89%, which is more than adequate safety margin as per NCUA (National Credit Union Administration – the Federal regulatory agency that insures credit unions) requirements.

SECU remains 5-Stars rated for the 54th consecutive quarter through June 2017. The 5-Stars rating is the highest rating offered by BauerFinancial, Inc., indicating that SECU is one of the safest financial institutions in the U.S.

With the summer vacation season upon us, please make sure to notify SECU in advance of your out-of-country travel plans via Net24 mail, using subject: Travel Notice, and in the body: provide the date range you plan to travel and countries you plan to visit. This will help insure that your trip goes uninterrupted, minimizing any inconvenient calls from our card fraud prevention center. 0618

Technology UpdatesWe are proud to announce our new Net24 internet banking system, featuring an interface that deeply integrates online banking and payments (person-to-person, bill pay, and interbank account-to-account), as well as personal financial management (PFM) tools. The new system provides additional security and convenience features, including Out-of-band (OOB) telephone or text confirmation code for secure login and personal information changes. Current users do not need to re-register in the new system, but are required to know the last four digits of their member number and supply other personal information in order to create a new password and access their accounts. Members already using bill pay service will not need to re-enroll, or re-establish payees or ongoing payments. Any scheduled transfers remain scheduled, so no setup is required. Interbank funds transfer (A2A) users are required to re-register their 3rd party financial institution accounts.

We have also rolled out a new card administration program for enhanced efficiency. Although the changes are mainly back-office, this new system enables our staff to provide improved service to our members.

Thank you for your continued support!

Harold OttisPresident
