Three consistent themes emerged:– The majority of requests were for services that already existed! Employees

simply lacked the information needed to utilize them– We also heard requests for small infrastructure changes (increased bike parking

and bus frequency)– Occasionally employees requested large scale infrastructure investments (such

as rapid transit)

Barriers to Sustainable Transportation Use

–Lack of information is a Major barrier to sustainable transportation use, as are other concerns that we heard, non‐auto modes are: unpredictable, inconvenient, inflexible, scary, and so on…–Additionally the issue of disconnect is key. If existing elements don’t connect, they aren’t coming together in a way that is easy for the user.
