KOMODOKomodo is the biggest lizard in the world. This animal lives in Komodo Island. It has four legs. It has 10 centimeters claws. Komodo eats small birds and big mammals. It uses its tongue to track their preys smell in the air. Its long thick tail could be used as a whip that could shatter even bones. Its mouth has very toxic saliva that can kill its prey.

A. Definition of Descriptive TextDescriptive Text is a text that generally use in daily life for describing thing, place, person, animal, etc. With it visual, smell, voice, or texture characteristic.B. The purpose of Descriptive TextThe purpose of descriptive text is to describe and reveal thing, place, or person features generally, without doing any specific research.

C. Generic Structure of Descriptive TextIn descriptive text, there is two part of generic structure :

1. IdentificationIdentification is a generic structure part of descriptive text that contain a topic of thing, place, and living beings that want to be describe by the reader.2. DescriptionDescription is a last part of generic structure for descriptive text that contains visualization about the topic in identification part in physical, quality, and general behavior manner.

D. Generic features of descriptive text.1. Descriptive Text using Present Tense, for the example: go, eat, fly, etc.

2. Descriptive Text using Adjectives (kata sifat) that have Describing (mengambarkan), Numbering (Menomerkan), dan Classifying (mengklasifikasikan) characteristic, For the example: two strong legs, sharp white fangs, etc.

3. Focus to particular place, person, animal, or thing. To describe the subject, must be specific not just general subject. For the example : If the subject is animal, it must be more specific. Like Lion, cat, or goat.
