YQCA is now open! I will need to mail in an order for codes for
each child. Directions on how to get certified will be sent as soon as I receive the codes-
hopefully in the next week or two.
NEW CHANGES TO THE 2017 FAIR BOOK: Communications and Clothing Event classes will be judged the
Monday of the Fair in the room in the northeast corner of the 4-H Exhibits building! This is the same day as the Static Judging.
Both classes will enter the fair through FairEntry just like all the other classes by the Wednesday before the Fair- July 26, 2017.
Photography Workshop: Title: Exposing the Light Within: Photography workshop
Who: 6th-12th graders What (description): Be prepared to delve deep into understanding
exposure and lighting during this Photography workshop. Participants will step inside a camera and see how light reflects and flips upside down, exploring the law of optics. They will also explore exposure through
cyanotype, a photographic printing process. Come with enthusiasm to get creative while building a foundation in photography.
When: June 22, 2017 - 9:30am-4pm Where: Water’s Edge Nature Center, Algona
Cost: $15/person, including lunch (must be paid to reserve a spot) RSVP by June 15 - Limit 40 youth

Fair, create a record book…. And more! All the basics about belonging to 4-H!
Have you ID’d your animals yet? breeding beef, bucket calves, goats, sheep,
horses, pets, dogs, & swine ID’s are due May 15!
