Daily Review- Go on a shape walk and find the following shapes around your house. (Square, Rectangle, Circle, and Triangle) Draw each shape and name them

What do you notice about the weather? Create a weather graph to graph the kinds of weather that you notice over the next two weeks. See the attachment example below.

Dance:Take a walk outside and travel in curvy, straight and zigzag pathways. Freeze. Make shapes (curvy, bent, straight) on all levels (high, middle, low) Notice what sizes your shapes are as shadows. Are they bigger or smaller? Are they in front of you? Behind you? Beside you? Dance in place changing levels and making your curvy, bent & straight shapes. Continue on your pathway and stop to repeat your shapes. Take a bow! You are a choreographer!

Read “I See A Bee” and notice the words that rhyme. Create a list of the rhyming words and have your child read them aloud to you. Extend: see if your child can give you additional words that rhyme withthem.

Writing: Draw a picture and write one sentence describing a bee. (what is the bee’s color, what does a bee do, how does the bee move, where does the bee live?) Remember to use a capital letter at the beginning, spaces in between the words, and punctuation at the end.

Word Problem: 5 bees land on a pink flower to look for nectar. 2 more bees join them. How many bees are on the pink flower looking for nectar in all? Illustrate and write a number sentence. (5 + 2 =?)

LOCOMOTOR STEPS: Can you take 1 giant step forward? 3 baby steps backwards? 5 skips in a circle? 9 rolls on the floor? Figure out how to do all the numbers with steps that make you travel through space!

PUT IT ALL TOGETHER: Dance your house number. Dance your birthdate. Dance your parents’ anniversary date. Dance your siblings’ ages. Be sure to use your imagination! Try to remember it, add music and put on a show for your family! Get everyone to join in! Have FUN!!!
