The solut ions adopted on the Ecostra l i s to improve fuel ef f ic iency

are avai lable on the NEW STRALIS EURO VI . These consist of a

speci f ic set of technologica l appl icat ions that can del iver a 7 .32%

fuel sav ing , (as cer t i f ied by the TUV in August 2010) . This sav ing

is fur ther improved by the new EURO VI engines and vehic le

aerodynamics , of fer ing an addit ional sav ings of 2 .33% (cer t i f ied

by the TÜV in October 2013) . The Stra l i s Ef f ic iency Package

adds fur ther sav ings of 2% given the introduct ion of cer ta in

enhancements : Eco-Roll ava i lable with automat ic tr ansmiss ion,

enhanced thermal control of the engine and the use

of an innovat ive low-viscos i ty motor oi l . Al l th is combined with

the DSE (Dr iv ing Sty le Evaluat ion) allow for savings that

top 11%. Addit ional focus goes to maintenance costs as the

replacement inter vals of the par t iculate fi l ter (DPF) now is 600

thousand km rather than 450 thousand for Cur sor 11

and 13 engines , c lass i fy ing IVECO as “best in class” for th is

technology.
