Daniel Webster is New Hampshire's most Famous son. He was born in 1782 in Salisbury and graduated from Dartmouth college

On June 15 New Hampshire lawmakers adopted the New Hampshire Declaration of Independence. It was one of the 13 colonies in January of 1776

Mixed trees including maples, beeches, birches, oaks, ashes, and hickories, account for about one third of the state’s forest cover

Canals were built and used for a few years as waterways, but after 1850, railroads became important means of transportation

In May 1775, the provincial Congress of New Hampshire had set up a revolutionary government

Native animals include opossums, moles, shrews, bats, porcupines, raccoons, muskrats, weasels, minks, skunks, chipmunks, foxes, squirrels, and rabbits
