New Function APAR Notification
Updated December 13, 2016
In response to customer requirements to make it easier to know when New Function
APARs have closed for the z/OS platform, we are providing two notification methods.
1. One capability uses the existing MyNotifications functions within the IBM
Support Portal. You can request a subscription to APARs designated as New
Function. You may have a subscription today for other notifications, and the
ability to include the New Function APARs is an additional capability. You will
be notified when the APAR closes (and before the PTF is available) to give you
the information as early as possible.
2. The other is a view of older New Function APARs and is available from a website
in lists. There are two formats of the list: two downloadable HTML files and a
download CSV file. One HTML file contains 12 months of New Function
APARs. The other HTML file contains five years of New Function APARs. The
CSV file contains the most information, and contains five years of data suitable
for a spreadsheet program and is delimited with semicolons.
What follows are steps on how to subscribe to the MyNotifications capability and an
example of what to expect when you receive notification.
