Greetings fellow Mustang enthusiasts! Did you see Steve and Rita Young's Hot Pony as The Featured Pony on the GCCM Corral page last month? Nice ride eh?! It's a shame we don't have one for this month. Want to be next? Send me the article and picture(s)! The weather couldn't have been better for our annual club picnic! Melvin Little and his crew report we broke records this year as it was the largest ever! Thanks to OMC for their financial support. The Mid-America Car Show is two weeks away… and I'm feeling anxious over the few volunteers we have. Whether you are showing or not it would be great to see a huge turnout of our GCCM family. We can't do everything but we can do something. We need judges... Experienced / low / or little experience and scribes. There will be a tutorial at the meeting this coming Tuesday... and a walk through review at the show prior to the task. We have judge’s sheets and guidelines to facilitate the judging process. Billy Henson and Steve Armstrong are our head judges and will make it clear and simple for all. Earl and Cindy Hillard are providing bottled water and the means of getting them to all volunteers. In addition, we need members working the entries and areas of the parking lot to direct participants. Hope to have 20 members to split into two shifts There will be a registration trailer where we will have members taking and managing the registra-tion. We need runners to take the completed judging sheets to the same trailer where tabulation will be conducted. I ask that someone will pick up donuts... at least four dozen and the club will reim-burse you... who will do that for us? Congratulations to Ron & Carol Watkins for winning their first Medallion Grill award and Gold with their 2008 Bullitt and to Jim & Jan Massey for winning Gold with their 1995 convertible GT at the MCA National Show held at St Augustine Fl in April. Don't forget, if you should change address, phone number(s), change your choice of ride, your last name, or give your name in marriage… let our secretary Rachael Granado know to maintain a current roster. If you have ideas for dinner, lunch or activity cruises… or know of a car show… don't be shy! Get in touch with us and we'll get the word out. General Meeting Minutes - May 3, 2016

Speedy Gonzalez Open Meeting – John Hemby called the meeting to order at 7:00pm Sponsors – Mark Harwood, Melvin Little, Jon with Matthews Ford (Happy Birthday). New Members – John & Sara, 67; Richard Murray, 65; Don & Susan Lipke, 07 (bought from Hillards). Guests – Lindsey, Joe Berkley’s girlfriend; Cheyanne, John Brawley’s granddaughter; Jeanie, Sam’s mom; Scott Cool; Huntsingers. Financials – Mary Calvert Business Account. Show Account. Received letter from IRS that our reclassification was approved. We are now Public Charity 509A2. Previous Minutes – Approved. Guest Speakers Jon Lane has been at Matthews Ford since Jan 2011. 1 – 2017 GT allocated. GT350 is $55k. 2017 Fusion All Sport in Oct, has 325hp. Drove 16 GT tonight. Have CS & white convertible available. No 350R allo-cated, $125K. No word on remaking Mach1. Roundup – Roger Downtown Broken Arrow on Main Street on Sept 24. Met with Vonda. Discussion about room for tabulation. Run down on chairpersons. Working on proposed budget, $900 Trophies, $35 Best of Show, $1000 tshirts. T-shirts – Will Working with Mark on pricing from 2 people. Calendars available. Past Show - Roger 2 cars at The Chill. Roger & Jim did not take any trophies. More focus on motorcycles. Top 3 were 2012, 2016 & 1967. Chevy club judged. Cliff Starbird attended. MCA - Ron W. Attended St. Augustine, Masseys won gold. Received red medallion & won gold. Reno in June. Changed to MCA memberships. $50 Standard. $35 Digital, includes Mustang Times. $25 Associate, no digital or hard copy. All include discounts. Parade – Ron W. May 14 - Broken Arrow Rooster Days, 42nd entry. $50 entry fee, to be split within all our cars entered. June 25 – Green Corn Festival in Bixby. Start collecting door prizes for our show. Club Magnets – Ron W. Only have 3 people interested. Discount by quantity ordered. Paid $7.50 last time for 10. Hallett – Jerry Vettes are this weekend. Fri May 20 for $150. 8-10 cars, 6-7 sessions. Pace car this month is TA Hollis. Jamie was pace car, very exciting. Had car end up on top.

Grand Prix – George 134 cars competed both days. 2nd on Sat, 3rd on Sun. Problems with brakes, wheel bearings. Had best time of 88 sec. Alternator froze on Sat, unable to compete on Sun. In St Louis on May 15. May 15 in Stroud. Solo course. Estimate 100 cars. Drag Strip – Mark Track is open. Daniel will test & tune on Friday. Will schedule for school on a Friday night. Scheduled wedding on June 18. Drags – Mark Showed video on John’s 5th pass, started in reverse. Daniel in next lane. John’s 1st pass was 13.1 sec. Calendars – John Drew names for 16-month 2017. Cruises – John Last Weekend – Glenpool Show, Took 1st & 3rd Modified, 1st & 2nd Stock. May 7 – Clicks in Pawnee. Leave 9:30. May 7 – Bob Moore in OKC. May 16 – Freddies, 10 or 15% to charity. May 20, 21, 22 – Hallett. May 21 – Picnic at Melvin’s. Meat & water provided, bring side dish & chairs. Have 4 restorations this week. May 24 – Board Meeting. May 26 – Hideaway at 61st & Yale. May 28 – Patriots Rt 66, $10 registration, 41 cars entered. June – Shelby Meet. John & Melvin met last Sun. We have registration. Open Meeting – John called the meeting to order at 6:58pm. Financial Report – Mary reported on the Business and Show accounts GCCM Picnic - Melvin • Had 92 cars from 5 states, 250 people. Biggest ever.

Shelby Meet – John • Billy Henson judging. • Need score sheets & registrations in binder. • Need someone onsite to class cars correctly.

• Discussed workflow for registration. • Pre-registration will be added to spreadsheet & judging sheets created. • Mary will need 3-4 people to assist in registration. • John will request pre-registrations on June 6.

• Gates will open at 7am on Sunday. • Steve & Ken will setup parking lot on Sat night. • Will have 2 golf carts available.

• Download Zello app on phone for walkie-talkies. Roundup - Roger • Art & Paula met with Debra.

• Rachael requested permission for drone to video & pictures. Board ok’d. Will take appropriate steps according to FFA & BA.

• Dale Turner is booked for DJ. Roger to contact Travis. Budget for $200. Flyers – Troy • Trying to combine printing of flyers with another job. Will separate if needed. T-shirts – Will • Mark has pricing of 150 shirts, traditional $7.50, soft $7.00 for gray. • Will has pricing of 100 shirts, heavy $7.50, dry 50/50 $7.70, soft $8.10. • Board voted for Mark’s pricing.

• Motion to add to By-Laws. • CarFX donated items in storage. Possibly silent auction. • Suggestion for year-long 50/50, donate items to raise money. • Need a club LLH liaison / committee.
