Dr Katrin Geisler works at the University of Cambridge. After working with oat, tobacco and conifers, Katrin now works with microalgae. She bioengineers microalgae to produce fatty acids and other valuable chemicals such as terpenoids, that can be used for food and feed or in the biopharmaceutical and perfume industry, respectively.
