New District Guide
Southwest District
Time to Shine
In awe! That’s what I am over the privilege of serving you. Though I didn’t anticipate this assignment, the Lord has abundantly confirmed it as His will for this season, and released in my heart a wealth of love and excitement for you and your churches.
My roots are embedded in Foursquare. Our missionary family moved from Colombia, South America, when I was 10. I grew up in the historic Southwest District and spent my teen years at Camp Cedar Crest. I’ve experienced the blessings and challenges of being a youth pastor, a national leader (Youth; Foursquare Women International) and a pastor in our Foursquare movement.
Today, we are living and ministering in the midst of darkness—and it is evident that our world is getting darker. But I believe God is declaring a message of hope and victory to our Foursquare movement: Arise, shine! Don’t allow the darkness to penetrate you! Let the glory of the Lord shine through you!˝
This is no time for us to draw back! It is time for us to arise with boldness and authority. I’m confident this will be our greatest season of salvations, healings and bondages destroyed, as well as a release of God’s supernatural provision.
The district staff and I desire to see the vision God has given you come to pass. In these next few months, we are praying: 1. to know God’s heart for you; 2. to understand the hearts of our Foursquare leaders; and 3. to know you—not as a church code or slogan name, but as a shepherd with an assignment from God. Jerry and I look forward to meeting some of you for the first time, and getting to know others better.
The greatest days of our lives are before us. So let’s run and labor together—the harvest is waiting!

Wide open! This simple, yet profound statement taken from Revelation 3:8, expresses the theme of Connection, our 2009 Foursquare convention. It also reflects our anticipation of God’s purposes for The Foursquare Church as we boldly follow Him into a new season of fruitful ministry worldwide.
The familial relationship in The Foursquare Church and the bond of trust we share have brought us to an exciting place in our church’s history. We are officially launching 14 new districts that are led by newly appointed supervisors who will lead our ministers and ministries into the Lord’s harvest.
As you read the information in this brochure relating to the launch of your new district, please do so with great care and intercession. Pray for your newly installed district supervisor and for the other district supervisors who will lead our ministers and ministries into the Lord’s harvest.
There is no finer hour to serve the Lord in the Foursquare family than today. As never before our collective commitment is to partner toward a common mission of reaching, resourcing and releasing leaders to God’s full potential. As we set our hearts to mobilize the next generation and equip emerging leaders for the work of the ministry, we know you sense the passion of God to do everything possible so these leaders mature into effective and successful ministers of the Gospel.
Our continued prayer is that the launch of your new district will bring about health and vitality to your region, your community and to your local assembly of believers.
