M P S E O C I S H E R E T O H E L P Y O U !

The Montana Post Secondary Educa onal Opportuni es Council (MPSEOC) feels strongly that college prepara on begins with providing useful and mely informa on to students, counselors, and families. The 2016 MPSEOC College Fairs and Online, Interac ve Guide are just star ng places to how we can educate these groups about the many op ons a er high school. Please take some me to review the Online, Interac ve Guide and College Profile Directory at www.MontanaColleges.com to develop a plan for how you will use this free resource with your students. Also, please review the online student registra on for this year’s college fairs! Thank you!

Who should attend the college fairs? All Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Parents, and Counselors are invited to a end the MPSEOC College Fairs! We thank you, as a Montana Counselor, for your support of these fairs by taking the me to bring your students to the fair in your area. We also appreciate your promo on of these fairs to your student’s parents, for we believe that this process is a family effort and is a great support to the student. Included in this packet is a detailed lis ng of the fair your school is scheduled to a end. The site coordinator of that specific fair will be in contact with you to determine the exact me within that fair block that will work best for you to arrive. Thank you again for your hard work in ge ng your students to the fair!

All students need to REGISTER ONLINE for the Fair and Scholarships! As an entry pass into the fair, all students will need to register before the fairs online @ www.MPSEOCLogin.com or www.MontanaColleges.com and print off the bar code pass when done. This bar code pass will be their entry pass into the fair. It also will be how they will register for the $1,000 scholarship! And, lastly it is how they will be able to gain informa on from the colleges at the fairs. No longer will students need to fill out mass numbers of contact cards from the colleges, for now they will simply be able to scan their bar code at the colleges in which they are interested. However, they need to have registered online before the fair and bring the printed bar code to the fairs to receive all these benefits.

What should I do with the included postcards? These postcards are just for your convenience and to be used as reminders to students about the fairs, guidebook, online college profile directory, and online registra on! Please distribute these postcards to students who will be a ending the fairs or simply share them as a reminder to your students to register before the fairs and check out the Online, Interac ve Guide Book and see an overview of many of the colleges a ending the fairs! We have sent you as many as we can, but it may not be enough to give every student one postcard. Feel free to make copies of these if need be or use these as you feel would be best!

How do my students access the Online, Interactive Guide Book? We offer this fun, interac ve, online Guide Book free to you and your students. We encourage you to refer your Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshman, and Parents to our Online Version of the Guide Book at NO COST. This Online Guide Book is a great tool in prepara on for op ons a er high school. Visit www.montanacolleges.com/guidebook to view, play, take a skills test, print off checklists and melines, or download the full version of this year’s exci ng version.

Who is coming to the fairs? How do my students prepare for

the fairs? Included in this mailing is a list of all the ins tu ons a ending the college fairs and those in the online Guide Book. By visi ng www.montanacolleges.com/colleges , students may research each of these colleges ahead of

me. Also, we have included a few great tools from the Online Guide Book in this mailing. Feel free to make copies of these pages and share with students as you would like. These will be a great help in preparing your students for the College Fair in your area. See you in September at the Fair!

What is the College Spirit / Pride Week? How can our high

school and community join in this celebration? Included in this mailing is more detailed informa on on this statewide celebra on. We hope you and your faculty, staff, and community will par cipate in showing students your support. Here is your chance to help students in an easy way. For more details on how your school can par cipate, visit: www.SupportMontanaStudents.org . Join the celebra on to help Montana students!

We look forward to seeing you, your students, and their

parents at the college fair in your area! The college fair schedule is enclosed with this shipment. If you have not already, you will receive more

informa on soon (from the local site coordinators) about the fair you, your students, and  their parents are scheduled to a end.

Please visit us @ www.MontanaColleges.com.  Thank you!
