Participation in CCQC is a platform for a contest amongst Quality Circles at Regional level. Winning at CCQC

gives a passport for participation in the National and International level Conventions too!!

In this convention, there will be presentations by Quality Circles as well as other small groups which are

practicing various other concepts like:

Lean Quality Circles (LQC), Quality Improvement Teams (QIT)

TPM Circles, Six Sigma, Poka Yoke, SMED, Kaizen, 5'S' and other allied Quality concepts.

Selected case studies in oral competition from this convention will be recommended for the forth coming

National Convention on Quality Concepts which is to be held at Pune from 16th to 22nd December 2014.

ALL PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS SHOULD NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Delegate Fee structure:

1. Case Studies can be presented in Tamil or English or Hindi.st st2. The case studies should pertain to period from 1 August 2013 to 31 July 2014. Case studies already presented at regional or Chapter or National

Convention are not eligible.3. Maximum time allotted - 15 minutes. An Alarm bell will sound at the close of 12th minute and another bell at the end of the 15th minute. Teams exceeding the

time limit are likely to be debarred.4. Teams are requested to bring their own Lap-tops.5. LCD projection will be provided by the chapter.6. Power Point slides should be in English for Hindi presentation.

1. Convention theme will be the topic for the competitions in Skits / Poem / Posters / Slogans.2. Only QC members can take part in the competition.3 There is no separate entry fee for the competition.4. Language of the competition may be either English or Tamil or Hindi.5. Entries for the competition should be given at the time of Registration itself.6. Selection shall be at the sole discretion of the chapter.

1. Duration - 10minutes.2. Script must be sent to the chapter before the due date (23.09.14) along with the registration of the Team.3. Language - English / Tamil / Hindi.

1. Slogans should be sent only on 45cm X 35cm size paper neatly typed or handwritten along with the name of the person, QC name and Organisation.2. Posters should be painted with sketch pen or brush on 45cm X 60 cm white paper or board only.3. Poems should be written or typed on A4 size white paper or board only. Slogans, Posters, Poems shall be displayed at the convention premises and shall

be the property of the Chapter after display.4. Language - English / Tamil / Hindi.5. Slogans, Posters and Poems must be submitted at the time of registration on 25.09.146. Only 2 entries / QC member is allowed. More entries if found will not be considered for evaluation by Judges

1. There will be 2 levels of test.2. First level test question paper will be given at the time of registration on 25.09.14.3. Filled up answer sheet must be given back at the counter before 4.00 p.m. on 26.09.14.4. Late entries will not be entertained.5. Top ten scorers of the 1st level test are eligible for the 2nd level test.6. This test will be held on 27.09.14 at 10.00 a.m.

D.D./ Cheque in favour of Quality Circle Forum of India, Madurai Chapter to be sent along with the entries. Late entries, application without D.D / Cheque will not be entertained.

1. Only QCFI member organizations can send teams for competition section.2. Non member organizations can become members of QCFI by sending membership fee along with convention fee.3. Competition section starts from 9.00 a.m. on 26.09.14 simultaneously in 8 Halls.4. Registration can be done from 04.00 p.m. to 07.00 p.m. on 25.09.14 and also from 8.00a.m on 26.09.2014.5. Slot allotment shall be given at the time of registration

1. Q.C. Record books should be submitted at the time of Registration on 25.09.14.2. Record books will be evaluated by a Special Judge deputed from Head Quarters for this purpose. These marks will be used for NCQC 2014.3. Every QC must submit their case studies (1 No of hard copy and one C.D) without fail on or before 22.09.14 along with entry fee. Entries coming

after 22.09.14 shall not be entertained.4. The application form is enclosed.

Tuticorin (Thoothukudi), is a city and a Municipal corporation in Tuticorin (Thoothukudi) district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is almost 580 km away from Chennai, about 261 km away from Trichy and about 133 km away from Madurai.

History

Thoothukudi became the centre of the Indian independence movement in the early 20th century, with such leaders as the poet SubramanyaBharathy, VeerapandiyaKattabomman, VenniKalady, VellayaThevan, and V.O. Chidambaram Pillai.

Tuticorin was established as a Municipality in 1866 with Roche Victoria as its first chairman. It attained the status of Corporation on August 5 2008 after 142 years. The economy of Thoothukudi is based on shipping, fishing, salt pan, mineral and agricultural industries. Thoothukudi has a host of other industries including power, chemicals, copper smelting etc.

Sight Seeing

Kanyakumari - Kanyakumari is 133 km south-west of Tuticorin just 1.5 hrs drive from tuticorin.Kanyakumari which is also called Cape Comorin is located at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula. Kumariamman temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Trivalluvar statue and Gandhi Mandapam are important places for sight seeing.

Thiruchendur - Lord Muruga Temple in Thiruchendur is the second of the ArupadaiVedu(six abodes) of Lord Muruga. It is located at 45kms from tuticorin.

Lord Nellaiappar, Tirunelvelli Located at 50 KMs from tuticorin, Kanthimathi Amman Temple is a vast temple with many unique features such as the Manimandapam near the Nandi mandapam that has two huge pillars carved out of a single stone. Each giant pillar has 48 small pillars which produce musical sounds when struck.

Courtallam - Courtallam (Kutrallam), the 'Spa of the south', which is famous for its waterfalls is about 112 km west from Tuticorin and 61 km west from Tirunelveli.

Holy Cross Engineering College is 25 km from Tuticorin or 30km from Tirunelveli.
