The demands on surfaces made by todays industry are tremendous. On the one hand, they have to protect objects of all shapes and sizes against a multitude of mechanical, chemical and physical impacts. Against UV emissions as well as against stone chippings or aggressive cleaning agents.

On the other hand, design aspects start taking centre stage. Colours and varnishes nowadays not only have technical functional aspects, but set the stage for the products and give them a presence. Matt or glossy with special effects or specific properties – the market demands indefinite design options.

To fulfill these demands, coatings of highest quality are needed that ensure dependable adhesion even under extreme strain. At the same time the international competitive pressure requires ever more economical, sustainable and flexible painting processes. PolyPrimer – the first synthetic surface coating that does not require pre-treatment.

PolyPrimer clings directly to the synthetic material*. This means elaborate and cost intensive pre-treatments like priming, tempering, and sanding in the automotive industry or flame treatment, fluorination or plasma treatment in the industrial area can be completely omitted.

PolyPrimer is a one component coating system that replaces the bonding agent as well as the filler. By application, a surface polarisation takes place. Thus, the coating can bond perma-nently with the base on a molecular level. Result: extraordinary adhesive properties.

PolyPrimer does not require secondary treatment. The surface coating can be painted over for up to 48 hours after grounding without the need of intermediate grinding. Wet-on-wet after only 10 minutes, dry after 30 minutes. All products are subject to continuing quality control and are ISO 9001 certified.

* PolyPrimer is not recommended for polyethylene and non-solvent resistant plastics. Only prerequisite for grounding with PolyPrimer is the cleaning of the synthetic material before coating.
