Warner Bros. is getting into the ring withTim Kelleher, picking up the scribe'spitch "Grudge Matchr'Billy Gerber andMark Steven johnson are producing.
"Grudge," which seeks to evoke thetone of the 2000 Warners movie "Space Cowboys:'revolves around retired boxers Billy "The Kid nMcGuigan and Henry "Razor" Sharp, lifelong rivals who are coaxedout of retirement for a final grudge match - 50 years after their lasttitle fight.
Kelleher is writing the screenplay. Sarah Schechter is overseeingfor the studio.
Kelleher, who recently signed with ICM, is a veteran TV writer whohas worked on "In Living Color" and "The Arsenio Hall Show" and cre-atedthe comedy "Rock Me Bahy" forUPN. "Grudge" marks his secondforay into feature writing, after the 1996 Sinbad starrer "First Kid?'
