The 17-36 SCT is the successor of the previous 17-34 model. The Short Span Compression Tester measures the strength of liner and fluting medium at a distance of 0.7mm. With this information it is possible to predict the compression strength of a container. For the producer, this means optimization of the end product at an early stage of production saving time and money. André Jansen, Managing Director of Messmer Büchel, says: “With this new Short Span Compression we have developed a complete package. The user interface has been improved making navigation quick and intuitive. Also our unique clamping system has been further improved by using low friction gliders resulting in cleaner data. Besides the instrument we also developed a new PC communication software, GraphMasterPro. The software is made for data storage and analysis. It can also be used to operate the instrument.
