DESCRIPTION

rbb Public Relations, an award-winning national marketing public relations firm, has launched the “Never, Ever Policy” – a comprehensive “no multi-tasking while driving” initiative for its employees. The policy prohibits any type of multi-tasking behavior which prevents employees from using two hands to steer their vehicles including texting, emailing, holding cell phones, operating the radio, eating, applying makeup or rummaging around for items.

DO THIS

Page 5: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

NOT THIS

Page 6: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

NOT THIS

Yeah, he

looks…busy

NOT driving

Page 7: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Let’s look at this MORECLOSELY

Page 8: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Every day, there are accidents caused

by drivers who aren’t paying attention

Page 9: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Driving while distracted is a factor in

25 percent of police reported crashes

The No.1 source of driver inattention

is use of a wireless device.

Drivers that use cell phones are four

times as likely to get into crashes

serious enough to injure themselves

Don’t do it. Never. Ever.

Page 14: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

OK, so how do you define

multi-tasking?

Page 15: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Any time you

don’t have

both hands

on the wheel

Page 16: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Any time you

don’t have

both hands

on the wheel

But I don’t have hands…

Page 17: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

For example

Page 18: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Don’t use a

handheld device

to surf the web,

email or text.

Page 19: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

But hands-free

or bluetooth

devices are

totally OK!

Page 20: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

But hands-free

or bluetooth

devices are

totally OK!

I can work with that.

Since I have no hands.

Page 21: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Don’t futz with

your radio, iPod or

GPS, because it

means your eyes

are off the road.

Page 22: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Don’t turn your car into a bathroom.

Finish your grooming before you leave.

Page 23: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Do not eat or drink while driving. That’s why

they make parking spaces near drive-thrus.

Page 24: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

Do not look for anything inside the car –

your gum, your iPod in the glove box

or gym bag in the backseat

Page 25: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you will)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

Page 26: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

That also means

don’t multi-task when

you’re at a stop-light.

You need to be

paying attention.

Page 27: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lotSo in summary

Page 28: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

Wait for it…It rhymes!

So in summary

Page 29: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

When should you multi-task?

Not now. Not then. Not

who knows when.

Page 30: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

When should you multi-task?

Not in an express lane.

Not in the rain.

Not waiting for

a passing train.

Page 31: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

When should you multi-task?

Not on a motorcycle.

Not in an SUV.

Not even in an Infiniti.

Page 32: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

When should you multi-task?

Not before, during

or after work.

Or when honking

at the speeding jerk.

Page 33: Never, Ever Initiative: No Multi-tasking While Driving

If you must do any of these things

(and let’s face it, you are)

pull over and stop the car

in a safe area like a parking lot

When should you multi-task?

Not in the future.

Not in the past.

Not especially with

your arm in a cast.
