BENEFITS OF NMS MONITORNMS Monitor is based on the operationally-proven Thales NMS Manager software and therefore benefits from overexperience for Link 16 operations.NMS Monitor is is an early entry monitoring capability with terminal initialisation and control, Frequency Clearance Agreement (FCA) monitoring and Time Slot Duty Factor (TSDF) measurement functionality.

Thales NMS Monitor is fully flexible and able tomeet operational needs, and it is fully expandableto allow initial system to be seamlesslyupgraded to Thales NMS Manager.

WHAT IS NMS MONITOR?Thales UK has developed NMS Monitor to provide an entry level Link 16 monitoring capability to nations with emerging Link 16 needs.

It enables users to monitor an existing network and to initialise and monitor a single or multi terminal network. Ground station operators can monitor the Link 16 network and the squadron air assets within it whilst developing the CONOPS for full operational use.

Based on our existing and operationally-proven portfolio of Link 16 products, Thales NMS Monitor uses the existing NMS Manager software engine in service with many nations throughout the world.Thales NMS Monitor is fully flexible and able to meet operational needs, and it is fully expandable to allow this initial system to be seamlessly upgraded to both Thales NMS Manager and Thales NMS Architect functionality.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A LINK 16 MONITORING CAPABILITYEmerging Link 16 nations are now procuring new airborne fighter platforms and C2 ground or AEW&C capabilities, which primarily have a Link 16 capability. Operators require a solution that is flexible, adaptable, low risk and has a light training requirement. They need to be able to support and integrate new Link 16 platforms and users into the network.
