• “Netiquette” is an abbreviation for “Internet etiquette”

• Simply stated, Netiquette is the do’s and don’ts of online communication

What is Netiquette?

• So much of today’s communication is done using the Internet and electronic technology

• You need to be sensitive to other people’s feelings when you communicate

• It is VERY easy to misinterpret the meaning of a message received electronically!– All the sender and receiver see is a computer

screen

Why is Netiquette Important?

• Two additional training tutorials have been developed

• There are many resources available on the Internet
