Nether Runner is an endless running and shooting game in which you run, jump, and shoot your way through hordes of demonic creatures. There are a lot of upgrades to get, which will cost you a lot of time. This game is enjoyable from the beginning all the way up to defeating the final boss with various upgrades. The endless mode will be introduced to you once you defeat the boss. How long can you survive in this netherworld?

Your girlfriend is suddenly grabbed by a bloody red tentacle, so you just pick up an Evil Book and a Tiny God to chase after this monster for saving her. You can fire projectiles through your book and fly up for a while with the Tiny God. Remember that you can’t fly anymore once running out of the fuel, but you still can jump. After killing enemies, you may be rewarded with mana and fuel and money. Gathering coins means that you can select powerups to upgrade in the menus, such as increase your player stats, unlock weapon powers that provide a short special effect to your normal attack. Multiple types of weapon effects improve your attack. These appear as a book on the screen and the book shifts between as many of these variations as you have unlocked. There are also spells you can use mana on. You can only have one equipped at a time, and they grow increasingly more effective as you unlock more of them. The maximum amount of mana you can carry is fairly generous. It is enough to use the final spell three times.

It seems like a shooting game as you unlock more and more upgrades through the game. Particularly as you increase your fuel capacity and the strength of your weapon to kill enemies from farther distances and more effectively thus replenishing your fuel from killing monsters. Nether Runner introduces one of unique gameplay aspects to flash game, which is called Quicktime event that takes place after depleting the hp of a boss.
