“My role as a netballambassador is to encourage and inspire children and young people to get involved in netball. This involvesgoing into primary schoolsin Barnsley and deliveringsessions on netball.

“As a netball ambassador, I have become moreconfident over my time coaching in Laithes Primary School, learning different ways to approach coaching.

“I have developed myconfidence, communication, organisation, knowledgeof the game and timemanagement. All the skillsI have learnt through my time being a netballambassador will help me with my future at university.

“At College, netball has become more popular due to having a bigger team, new kit, new equipment and the professional feel while playing. There are more opportunities to coach and represent England in netball.”

“I am currently a netball ambassador for South Yorkshire Sport at Barnsley College and about to study at Leeds Beckett University.

“My role as a netballambassador is to encourage College students to jointhe netball club. As an ambassador I also attended the South Yorkshire Sport conventions to get more training on why it is important to be anambassador.

“The more times I coach at College the more I know about netball.

“This has made me enjoy the game more because it has built up my confidence and encouraged me to get young people to play more netball. In the future I definitely want more young people to take part in netball as I think that the sport will grow more and become more popular.

“We have also been given opportunities to do a netball coaching course so we have more opportunities in the future. I think this is great because it will open more doors for me for when I start university.”
