Cella Energy (UK firm) has developed a technique to store hydrogen making
use of micro beads. The hydrogen power is one of the clean fuel technology
which could help in safely to power vehicles. Earlier it was difficult to store
hydrogen because it slips between the spaces of molecules in other material
and it is quite risky if it escapes as it catches fire easily. Cella Energy has

Centrica £2billion deal with Qatar for Gas supply Matthew Spencer, 23 February 2011
Centrica which is the parent company of British Gas has signed a deal of £2 billion
for gas supply from Qatar for next 3 years. The prime minister of UK-David Cameron
says the deal is secure enough and it is will create more jobs in UK. Whereas Centrica
hopes the deal will be extended in future as well. Centrica contributes to supply a

Borehole operation in Newcastle to obtain geothermal hot water to
supply heat

The Northern city of England Newcastle which is the greenest city of Britain is
exploring a free hot water from the earth crust through drilling operation which
started in June and have reached 2000 m below the surface of earth where the
operators are looking for groundwater kept at 80degree C by geothermal heat which
could be used to supply heat to one of the biggest mall in city named Eldon Square
having 140 shops and 24 acre science centre. The 900,000 pounds project is funded
by local Newcastle science city partnership and department of Energy. Read More

Chinese slowing down GDP growth to save environment

In order to save the environment from pressure of carbon emission, Chinese minister
has announced to slow down the growth rate of GDP to 7% which earlier used to be
8%. The environment minster Zhou Shengxian is well aware of the results of over
exploitation of resources and the conflict of human and nature. In the next five years
plan china is planning to raise the quality and efficiency of their economic growth.

Need to pay for polluting in Australia from 2012.

After twice failure to attempt on addressing climate change, Julia Gillard (Prime
minister of Australia) has made a third attempt to raise an issue of paying for
polluting the environment through emission. She says it is becoming inevitable reform
that needs to be regulated having known some serious threats of climate change. The

World first – the Linc Energy Diesel Dash By Greg Meyer (28/02/2011)
The world leader in clean coal/Gasification Australian company named Linc Energy
has started a 5,500 km road trip to Perth where CEO of the company drives the car from the synthetic diesel made from coal (UCG to GTL technology) which actually is more superior to conventional diesel due to absence of sulphur in it. This is the world’s
first such a long trial on synthetic diesel of which documentary is also being made.
Linc Energy is Australia’s Leader in Clean Coal Technology where they use
combination of ‘Underground Coal Gasification (UCG)’ and ‘Gas to Liquid
(GTL)’ technology.
Creates Synthesis Gas (Syngas) with UCG technology and Syncrude with
GTL technology and leads to take these technologies to Australia and world.
Linc acquired ‘SAPEX’ Limited formed in 2000, energy producer involved in
exploration and development of oil and Coal Seam Gas (CGS). ‘SAPEX’
involved in exploring oil and Gas in ‘Arcaringa Basin’ region which was not
explored before.
Linc Energy does 2D Seismic Surveys and in 2008 SAPEX merged with Linc
Energy. The company holds Petroleum Exploration and mineral exploration
Licenses.
Commentary
‘YEROSTIGAS’ located in Uzbekistan is commercial UCG operation of the
world that uses UCG to produce power. Linc Energy acquired 91.6% of
yerostigaz share. UCG produced Syngas contains monoxide, hydrogen and
methane. The company has operations in Australia, USA, Uzbekistan and
Vietnam and has discovered 1 to 1.3 billion tonnes of coal in Walloway basin-
South Australia. The CEO of Linc Energy-Peter Bond wants to assist Linc
Energy with Commercialization of UCG across the western world and once
commercialization of UCG and GTL is complete, Linc Energy want to
produce a number of final products for market for which they are evaluating
potential sites. Final Products include LPG, Petrol, Kerosene, Diesel, and Jet
fuels of higher quality than conventional refinery fuels.
