Neðri Bakki Icelandic Horses is an Icelandic horses stud and training centre in Pukekohe run by Kenneth Husted and Snejina Michailova. We aim at breeding and training high-quality Icelandic horses

with an easy tölt for both breeders and riders in New Zealand.

The stud is engaged in a diverse range

of activities related to Icelandic horses, such as:

• Breeding on quality horses with strong bloodlines

• Breaking-in and training horses• Selling well-trained horses• Offering individual training for

buyers by an ESNZ qualified coach

At Neðri Bakki Icelandic Horses we are always looking for the best, including the equipment we use. We are therefore proud to have become exclusive dealer of the Icelandic Hrímnir saddles and tack in New Zealand.

Hrímnir products are reknown for their high quality and the saddles are extremely durable, comfortable and adjustable. We have a selection of saddles at hand for demonstration and offer interested potential clients the possibility to test them.

Neðri Bakki Icelandic Horses breeds top-quality Icelandic horses. We have established the stud in early 2007 and imported horses with excellent bloodlines from Denmark and Iceland. We breed horses with:

Traustur is flexible and elegant and has a smooth tölt. His maternal grandfather is Óður frá Brún, famous for his smooth gaits and his exceptionally

well-gaited offsprings. His father, Þótti frá Wetsinghe, comes from excellent bloodlines and has an easy tölt and friendly character.

ACCOMMODATIONWe offer self-contained accommodation for up to 4 people in a comfortable and cosy 2-bedroom cottage.

The cottage is located in a private area of the farm next to native bush with abundant bird life and flora, with walking treks around the property starting right at the doorstep.

It has recently been refurbished and offers all features

needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay: 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, well-equipped kitchen,

open dining area, spacious bathroom, lounge with TV, Freeview and DVD-player. A nice outdoor area with a barbecue completes the setting.
