NJ Studies Lecture #45 - Medical Forecasting (Bazi)
• Overview
• Multi-dimension space/time breath cycles in nature
• Create a bazi chart
• Sixty-year cycles
• Heavenly stems
• Case examples
• Question time!
Bā zì suàn mìng
• Xú Zi Píng 徐⼦子平 was the father of modern bazi theory and the founder of the scholarly school of divination (writings now lost) (Song dynasty 960-1279 CE)
• Xŭ Dà Shēng 許⼤大升 wrote the ‘Yuan Hai Zi Ping’ (The Deep Ocean of Zi Ping’ - he describes the basic theories of Xu Zi Ping’s work and bazi suanming theory (Song Dynasty 960-1279 CE)
Bā zì suàn mìng
• Bazi suanming is one of many styles of divination in China
• Interesting because it is consistent with Neijing yin/yang theory
• It creates a snapshot of a person’s yin/yang breath constitution
• It helps us understand a person’s worldview
• It helps show us their resources and weaknesses
Bā zì suàn mìng
• It helps show us what clinical approaches may be most effective
• It helps show us what approaches may not be effective
• It helps show show us what influences a person will encounter over their life cycle
• It helps show show us lifestyle adjustments that may be helpful

Basic principle: The bazi chart is a snapshot of the configuration of the space/time breath at the time we take our first breath and transit from prenatal to postnatal qi and separate from our mother’s breath to our own. This configuration gives us a first impression of the world that influences our understanding and physiology throughout our life.

Basic principle: The universe is made up from an infinite number of space/time breath motions that are superimposed on one another. The composite of these breath motions generates the world we live in.
© 2005-2016 EDWARD NEAL, MD
Basic principle: Musical resonances are created in the stars, different climates are generated in the biosphere and flavors are created beneath the earth.

Kellie Krasovec November 9 at 4:31pm Ed, can you discuss the temperature (or any other) qualities of a few medications?I would like to know about Keppra, Lamictal and Tamoxifen. A couple has been having severe cold symptoms, and the man has been taking Keppra and Lamictal for about 20 years. Wondering if this could be the cause? If anyone else has info, I'm all ears. Thank you.

Julie Birraux November 3 at 2:00am In the last lecture about clinical diagnosis, Ed mentioned that you address/treat differently a problem caused by the constitution of the person (say he was born with a given problem) as opposed to a problem coming from his family line (he was born with a problem, and his dad had it too, and his grand-dad as well etc). How so? How is the direction of cause different (North?) ? Could you give an example of treatment? Thanks a lot

Adriano Taricani October 25 at 11:44am Hi guys, Edward Neal if I remember correctly you mentioned that being easily startled points to the liver. I was taught that reflects a heart disharmony. Can you talk a little more about this. Thx
