STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS:

Calicut University Rank List (Batch 2013-17)

NCERC Scored = 42 Ranks Out of 100

ECE Dept Scored = 09 Ranks out of 42

ECE the student Ms.M.Fasna ( NCAOEEC043) 2014-18 batch having 9.0

CGPA scored First Rank among the Engineering Colleges in the Thrissur

District conducted by Thrissur Architect Association in 2018

NCERC Placement Cell organized a gathering for all the placed

students of 2018 pass out batch to appreciate their effort put

forward for their career and congratulated them on their

achievement.

NCERC,Ece Dept student Anup, Sonu, Jithin & Manju went

pune engg college, Pune for project Expo sparkile 2016. Won

the Third place Rs.1Lakh.

Sabarinath and Sreeraj of S7 ECE(B),

Won 2nd prize in Auto Quiz hosted by Ahalia School of Engineering

and Technology in association with “Zaaga”.

Won 2nd prize in Quiz competition hosted by Holygrace Academy

of Engineering in association with “IMPULSE 2K15”.

Won 2nd prize in General Quiz conducted in association with NIET,

Coimbatore.

Sabarinath of S7 ECE (B) won 3rd prize for National Level Online Quiz

Competition conducted by Deepika Daily & Amal Jyothi College of

Engineering, Kottayam.

6 students from S7 ECE(B) attended workshop on Entrepreneurship

Development at NSS, Akathethara.

Vipin, Sharafudeen, Shiyaz and Ranjith of S8 ECE B won first prize in

project expo TECHSYSM 16

National Informatics Centre conducted all Kerala level Digital India Quiz

at Barton Hill Engineering College Trivandrum in association with Digital

India Week in which Sabarinath and Vipin of S7 ECE (B)reached final

round.

Vipin, Sharafudeen, Shiyaz and Ranjith of S8 ECE B have participated in

project expo INVENTO 16 CONDUCTED by Govt. Engineering College

Palakkad.

BSNL INTERNSHIP attended by 32 students from S7 ECE

Sumichithra of S7 ECE(B) attended Inplant Training at FCRI.

Sruthy S and Sumichithra of S8 ECEB has published a paper in International

Journal Of Scientific and Technology Research

FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS

Naslin Sithara N and Jithin Jose Kallada attended one day Workshop on NPTEL jointly

organized by NPTEL, IIT Madras.

Shakunthala Devi and Joycy attended Workshop on Technology Up gradation and Skill

Development Programme held at KMCT College of Engineering, Kozhikode.

Published 31 International Journals by faculties along with students of ECE

Department on varied topics related with M-Tech academic projects.

Jithin Jos Kallada, AP/ECE was attended one week Faculty Development Program

(Embedded System) on 04.01.2016 to 08.01.2016 at College of Engineering,

Kidangoor.

Dr.S.Rajkumar has published Research Paper “VLSI Implementation of Low Power

FIR Filter Design Using APC-OMS Algorithm” in Middle-East Journal of Scientific

Research 23 (Sensing, Signal Processing and Security): 265-268, 2015, ISSN 1990-

Dr.S.Rajkumar has submitted a Research paper of “A Novel Compact

Dual­band slot Microstrip Antenna for Internal Wireless Communication”

in the International conference to be held on 12­Mar­2016, Bengaluru, India

organizing by IDES (CCPE2015503R) is accepted and registered for

presentation.

Dr.S.Rajkumar organized One day workshop on VIRTUALIZATION & CLOUD

COMPUTING in association with IRFAN TECHNOLOGIES on 19th March 2016.

INAUGURATION OF IETE STUDENTS FORUM (ISF) on 04.10.16

The official inauguration of IETE Students Forum (ISF)-2016 was conducted

successfully on 4th October 2016 at Nehru college of engineering and research

centre, Pampady, Thrissur Dist. The program was co-ordinated by The

Electronics and Communication Department of NCERC. The various

departmental heads along with the chief guest discussed about the various

IETE activities. The function was inaugurated by Mr. C.K Haridas (IETE

Governing Council Member New Delhi) by lighting the lamp. In the inaugural

address he pointed out the social relevance of sustainable engineering. The

HOD of ECE department Dr.S Rajkumar gave the welcome address. The

presidential address was delivered by Dr A.S Varadarajan (Principal, NCERC)

where he focused on the benfits of IETE for future generation of engineers from

all the departments. The Vice Principal of NCERC Dr.N.K Sakthivel, staff co-

ordinator Prof.Jithin Jose Kallada mentioned the relevance of IETE on

moulding social engineers. IETE focuses on various possibilities of engineers

and engineering in this modern era.The motto of IETE is to promote globally

recognized activities in contemporary society. The office bearer for the academic

year was announced and the distribution of membership cards was done.In the

final interactive session queries of the students were answered.

Four Days Workshop on Ardino Programming & Interfacing:

Report on Women Empowerment program organized by ECE Dept,

NCERC & IETE Palakkad centre dated on 16.03.2018

The Dept of ECE & Women Cell, NCERC, Pampady in join with IETE Palakkad

Centre conducted Women empowerment program on the subject “Women

Empowerment : Role of Social Justice and Cyber Security with Laws related to

Childern” on 16th March 2018 for the women students. Asst. Prof. Jithin Jose

Kallada, AP/ECE & ISF Coordinator of the ECE gave the welcome address, Sri.

C K Haridas IETE South Zone Mentor participated in the events. Dr. S Raj

Kumar, HoD ECE Dept. NCERC, Pambadi gave the felicitation address and

pointed that importance of women strength and weakness of the individual and

their social responsibilities towards society. Prof.Narayanan HOD/EEE gave

the presidential address in the principal madam absence, Dr.Sankar

HOD/Mech highlighted the women equal rights in the parliament The Chief

Guest Sr.Gr.APP Sri. P Prem Nath detailed the real incidents taking place in

the society harassing the women irrespective of the age group. He also pointed

out the cyber security laws presently available to be made use of by the women

for their self protection. Finally Mr. V Vishal Kumar , S8 student & Joint

Secretary ISF gave the vote of Thanks. The discussion after the lecture was

found very fruitful and effective from the reaction from students.

REPORT ON TECHNICAL WORKSHOP & TALK ON VLSI, EMBEDDED SYSTEMS, ROBOTICS & RECENT TRENDS IN

ENGINEERING HELD AT NEHRU COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND RESEARCH CENTRE ,PAMPADY FROM 23-07-18 TO 27-07-

18 Jointly with IETE Palakkad Centre and ISF , NCERC , Pampady

A five days workshop and technical talk on VLSI Design, Embedded Systems,

Robotics and talk on Recent trends in Engineering was conducted from 23-07-

2018 to 27—07-2018 Jointly with IETE Palakkad Centre and ISF , NCERC ,

Pampady. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri. C K Haridas, IETE South

Zone Mentor and Founder Chairman, Palakkad Centre . Dr. T Ambika Devi

Amma, Principal of the college presided over the function. Asst. Prof. & ISF

Coordinator Shri. Jithin Jose Kallada welcomed the students. Dr. S Rajkumar,

HoD ,ECE Dept. , Prof. Sundaramoorthy and Dr. S Shankar felicitated. Shri.

Jothish K V, ISF chairman proposed vote of thanks. 101 students participated

in the workshop. It is worth mentioning that many students from 7 different

adjacent colleges from Palakkad district including one from Kollam.

Dr. S Rajkumar, Prof. Muruganandam, Prof. P Rajkumar, Er Vijin Antony,

Pantech solution(Kochi) and P Suresh, IETE Palakkad centre conducted the

workshop and talk on these days with full time hands on training. The

Valedictory function was chaired by Dr.S Rajkumar, HoD, ECE Dept and Dr. S

Shankar HoD , ME Dept and Certificates were distributed to the participants

by Dr.S Shankar, HoD , ME Dept then the function came to an end at 4pm on

27/7/2018.
