Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases The neglected tropical diseases are a group of 13 parasitic and bacterial infections that affect over 14 billion people, most of whom live on less than $125 per day. Diseases: Aascariasis, Buruliulcer, dracunculiasis, human Africantrypanosomiasis, hookworm, leishmaniasis, leprosy,lymphaticfilariasis, onchoceriasis, schistosomiasis, trachoma, trichuriasis 7.
