Need to sign up for the first time? Here’s how.

Why do you need CourseMate?

1. It includes study tools that are based on your book, to help you prepare for tests and exams.

2. It contains an eBook, which you can use in addition to or in place of your physical textbook.

To install…first, go to cengagebrain.com and click “sign up”.

Fill out the information. Use an email you use often, or your school email address.

Select your school by searching by City and State or Zip Code You’ll need it so you’re correctly aligned with your class.

This is what your school will look like when you’ve selected it.

Be sure to select your School Year, preferred contact method, Time Zone and

agree to the User Agreement.

Now you’re signed up! You’ll need some content in your dashboard. You can do this in one of two ways.

If you bought your book at the bookstore, bundled with CourseMate OR just [DISCIPLINE] CourseMate alone, enter the Access Key that was packaged with your book or in the card you purchased.

Select CourseMate from your dashboard.

Welcome to CourseMate!

Now, please click “Enter Your Course Key” and enter the Course Key for your course. Your instructor will provide

this to you.
