Dear Industrial Partner,

The fifth International Conference devoted to New Developments in Photodetection will be

held by June 10-20 2008 in Aix-Les-Bains, France.

The conference explores the latest developments in photodetection techniques and systems for

Nuclear and High Energy Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology, Nuclear Medicine and

Biology, Industrial applications and other fields.

The scientific program covers recent developments achieved in both well-established and

emerging photodetection technologies.

This includes detector issues from the infra-red to the gamma rays (e.g. PMTs, solid state

detectors, hybrid photodetectors, new sensing media, …) as well as system aspects (e.g. pixel

arrays, front-end electronics, signal/image processing, etc..).

The Conference provides a forum for the establishment and maintenance of contacts with

more than 250 physicists, engineers and decision makers from more than 20 countries. The

four previous editions were great successes partly thanks to the strong participation of

industrial exhibitors (cf. following table).

The Conference will take place in the “Centre des Congrès” of Aix-Les-Bains. It integrates

facilities for the industrial program in a large exhibition area. Coffee breaks and poster

sessions will be held within the exhibition area to maximize the interaction with participants.

Walls are painted and it is forbidden to fix signs, banners … with hook, drawing pin etc…

Only booth structure can be used by the exhibitors.

Material delivery

The entrance of « Centre des Congrès », at the first floor, is accessible from the left side.

Exhibitors or other delivery services will be authorized to park near the exhibition hall only

for loading or unloading their material.

Packaging stocking

For security reasons, « Centre des Congrès » has no reserved place to stock packaging.

Exhibitors will necessarily have to organise the removal of any packaging before the

beginning of the conference.

Cleaning

Booth cleaning will be carried out by the “Centre des Congrès” if requested.

Caretaking

Night Caretaking service can be ensured during the exhibition duration if requested by the

exhibitor. The security agency is chosen by the Centre des Congrès.

HYGIENE AND SECURITY PRECAUTIONS

The exhibitor has to guarantee free access to exit doors and emergency exits.

All material used for booth assembly must be fireproof or treated with specific fireproofing

products before it enter the Exhibition area. Each booth assembler must hand in all certificates

attesting the fireproofing procedures used on material.

Canopy materials have to be M1 category, water-repellent with at least 75 %

vaccuum.

On the other hand:

Electrical installation has to be protected against current overload and grounding defect,

No implantation beyond the booth area.

Use or stock inflammable liquid in booth is forbidden.

INSTALLATION/REMOVAL OF EXHIBITS

Conference date: 15-20 June 2008

Exhibition date: 16-20 June 2008

Exhibition installation: Monday, the 16th of June 2008 / 8h-12h

Removal of exhibits: Friday, the 20th of June 2008 / 14h-17h

IMPORTANT

Any delivery before the exhibition installation date will be refused.

All exhibits, displays, booth fitting and materials must be removed from the Premises by the

time and date stated by the organizer. Removal and dismantling may not commence before the

official closing time, unless prior approval has been obtained from the organisers.

Exhibitors who would not remove their stand on dates and hours mentioned above commit to

pay extra space rental cost charged by the Centre des Congrès to the organizer for long

duration stay.

The Centre des Congrès will be obliged to dump all installations and decorative structure to

free the exhibition hall.

Booth height is 2,5 m except particularities

It is strictly forbidden to:

To work on airing access, electrical or telephone conduits

To drill a hole or to screw into any part of the Premises including the floor,

To remove doors, etc...

Should any such damage occur, the Exhibitor responsible will be invoiced for any reparation

charges incurred.

Exhibitors Emergency exits and fire points must at all times be kept clear and free for passage.

Your indoor stand is a multiple of 9 m². The minimum size is 9 m² for a single booth, but your

company may need some more surface, therefore double or triple booth are also available.

Technical characteristics of a 9 m² unit stand:

- 3 kW electrical connection (3 x 16 A sockets with 30 mA protection)

Note: Several companies may associate to exhibit their material together for

communication or commercial image reasons. When at least two companies are

exhibiting jointly, the surface of the indoor stand must be at least 18 m² (double booth).

Other form of Sponsoring

If your company wish to advertise its products and capabilities without renting a booth, the

conference gives you the opportunity to distribute to every conference participant some

catalogues, CD-ROMs, documentation or accessories. The material will be inserted in each

conference bag. This bag is given to the attendees at their arrival at the conference registration

desk.

Renting a booth gives your company the possibility to distribute an advertising kit freely

in the conference bag. Please send the materiel to the previous address one month before

the conference starts.

Catering, lunch, conference dinner, social

events

During the conference, the participants have lunch and coffee breaks together at the

conference site. More over, the conference organises some social events (welcome aperitif,

visits and barbecue, conference dinner ...). The exhibitors have the possibility to join the

conference attendees to these events.

The industrial partners are invited to the welcome aperitif and to the coffee breaks (coffee

breaks are in the exhibition hall).

For the dinner, the lunches and the barbecue, we offer the possibility:

- to reserve and pay at unity

- or to buy a global service called “social event kit”

In any case, the number of meals must be anticipated and reserved one month before the

conference starts. Flexible arrangement is possible to receive a collaborator for a short

duration period. Please fill the table following the order form.
