Flexible Learning for Students
• Students do not need to complete L1 before moving onto L2 (particular subjects may have prerequisites)
• NCEA Level may be achieved over more than one year
• Students may enter for selected AS in a subject

Achievement Standards

• Students can gain “A” or ”N”
• Can contribute towards industry-based national qualifications

Extension opportunities
• Selected L1 AS may be offered to Year 9/10 students
• Students may be accelerated and do some multi-levelling
• “E” questions assess the ability to apply higher-level
thinking skills and are academically tough

University Entrance 2019
You will be qualified for entrance to New Zealand Universities in 2019 if you have obtained:
• NCEA Level 3• Approved subjects: 14 credits in each of three approved subjects at Level 3• Literacy requirement: 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of 5 credits in reading
and 5 credits in writing.• Numeracy requirement: 10 credits at Level 1 or above

Scholarship Awards
• Aimed at top 2-3% of students in each subject
• Separate 3 hour examinations
• Successful candidates awarded $500 for each scholarship

What are Whanau groups?
1. Four groups based on our school houses -
Joshua, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Daniel
2. Students are grouped into their existing house
group.
3. Students will have focussed, beneficial time with
peers in their whanau group.
4. One whanau leader for each house.
