The primary objective is to validate shared situational awareness and cooperative decision making between ship's bridge team and shore based Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) personnel.

Project CySIMS (Q1 2016 – Q1 2018) - Cyber Security in Merchant Shipping

• CySIMS will develop a new Maritime SecurtitySolution, e.g. by looking cross-domain to Aviation forre-use concept for secure information exchange betweenPlane and Ground station.

• Expected results, e.g.:• New signature and encryption systems for digital data

• A public key infrastructure for the maritime domain

• Tools and methods for risk assessment and corrective measures

• New VHF Digital Radio System

Pre-project Shipping 4.0 – Internet of Services at Sea (Q3 2016 – Q4 2016)

• The main project will look at how large scale data in ship management organisations are defined, collected and processed in order to provide a range of services, defined as "Internet of services at sea".

• NAVTOR is pre-project owner, focusing on e.g.:

• Automated data registration and reporting• Port State reporting

• Greenhouse Gas reporting

• NORWEGAIN MODEL; Government – R&D – Industry STANDARDS!
