OVERALL OBSERVATION OF THE VIDYALAYA
JNV ,Aligarh was visited on 22nd and 23rd August 2014 by the
panel academic committee and the observation is submitted as
under:-
Academics: - The academic activities needs improvement in this
vidyalaya . The teachers have casual attitude in performing
their duties like preparation of lesson plan, maintenance of
teacher’s diary , checking of notebooks particularly of boys
and very few use teaching aids while teaching in classes.
Both Principal & vice-principal should take frequent rounds
of the academic block in order to ensure that class room
activities are going on smoothly.
Records of formative Assessment are not maintained
properly. Incomplete results of FA 1 are shown to the
inspection team .Majority of students are passive listeners
in the classes. CCE is to be implemented in its true spirit.
The teaching of English, Math and Science in junior classes,
needs improvement by making activity based teaching as
per PAP 2014-15. The teachers of these subjects are advised
to complete all the records of CCE and pay special attention
towards slow learners. In PAP 2014-15, It is clearly
mentioned that the practical needs to be completed along
with the theory. This needs to be enforced from class 6th to
12th class both in science and mathematics. Special
attention is required in teaching of Mathematics , Physics
and Accountancy in 12th Class. The students mainly boys of
11th & 12th class were not present in the vidyalaya campus.
They were sent home on 19/08/2014 by the vidyalaya
administration due to group clash among themselves. it has
been seen that students of this vidyalaya are indisciplined
for the last 2-3 years . They involve themselves into
unwanted activities throughout the year they may be
counseled with the help of parents, district administration
or by calling any other qualified expert from time to time. It
has been seen that some ungenuine demands of the
students are accepted by the vidyalaya authorities like
watching movie on every Saturday / Sunday / G. Holidays
without break and no one supervise them at that time. They
are free to do as per their own wish which start
confrontation between them and sometimes it leads to hot
talking and quarrelling with each other. The students of this
vidyalaya are out of control . It shows that lack of team
work sprit is missing among the staff of this vidyalaya. The
Principal has very badly failed to provide good leadership
qualities to the students and teachers.
Store keeper Mr Istikhar Ali of this vidyalaya remains on long leave due to one or the other pretext which hampers the overall functioning of the vidyalaya . Sweeper cum chowkidar Mr Ajay Kumar is not performing his duties sincerely he is habitual of denying the orders of Principal & Vice-principal in front of all .
Labs, computer lab and smart classroom: - Computer lab is
having 50 computers in which 15 computers are not in working
order, internet facility is provided to the computer lab and smart
class room. Students should be permitted to have their access to
the internet under the guidance of computer teacher. Physics,
chemistry and biology labs are maintained properly Project work
should be nicely displayed in the labs.
Play fields and campus: All the grounds are properly
maintained but long grass is seen in some corners of the
vidyalaya. PETs are requested to take interest in maintaining the
grounds. The front portion of the vidyalaya is nicely maintained
where as back side of the hostels should also be developed
properly.
Mess and dining hall: Mess area is neat and clean . The
quantity and quality of food is satisfactory. The teachers are
taking their meal on separate tables, this practice should be
stopped and they should dine house wise with the students. The
rates of mess items should also be displayed in the mess .
Visiting of houses: The houses of both boys and girls are neat
and clean but surrounding area should be properly developed.
The Bathrooms of Senior boy’s houses need major The estimate
of the same prepared by Samaj Kalyan Nirman has already been
forwarded to NVS HQ for its necessary approval but no action
has been taken till date. It is requested to take necessary action
in this regard. Toilets and bathroom of boys and girls hostel are
to be cleaned daily.
Overall performance of this Vidyalaya needs improvement.
Principal to take the cooperation of teachers, parents and district
administration for running the Vidyalaya smoothly and to control
indiscipline among students. Students should be counseled for
attending all activities regularly.
