iTunes ID - make sure you’re signed in as the correct user
If you have a Gift Card this is how you add it to your
account “bank”
If you have been given a Download Code for an
app (usually a code to get a free copy of a paid app) you enter it here, NOT on
the app’s page - Download codes entered here automatically take you to the proper app
Gift cards, promo codes,
etc
Searching is quick
As you type it offers
suggestions
Ignore the suggestions
& press return to
search your word
Results for “browser”
An iPad will run iPhone apps, not the other
way around
Bottom navigation bar takes you to the other App Store sections
iTunes offers app suggestions based on
apps you already have
Top Charts - most popular apps - a
good way to get an idea of what people
are using
All apps purchased on your Apple ID
Means purchased but not installed on this
device... tap the iCloud icon to install
You can also view only the “not istalled”
apps here
Updates
Explanations of the updates. All updates are free regardless of what you paid for
the app or what its current cost is
Download updates individually or in bulk
In Settings
Automatic Downloads will push app purchases out to all devices with the same Apple ID
Make sure you are
logged in to the correct
account
App store has its own setings
SummaryApp Store on iPad is easier to navigate than App Store on iTunes
much less clutter
Use the Search box in the top right for fastest results
search app names, partial names, or function (ie: browser, etc)
If you have multiple devices under the same account turn on Automatic Downloads for easy syncing
don’t use Automatic Downloads if devices are different capacities, used for different purposes, or used by different people
Genius is a great way to explore comparable apps to ones you have
