This is the home page of the Membership Committee as of August 2013.  Buttons, boxed in verbiage and underlined material can be ‘clicked’ to transport the viewer to more information on that topic.  Be aware that contents can be updated throughout the year.  A NOTE:  be sure to clear your ‘cache’ on your computer occasionally as it stores website formats that may have changed between usage.

After pointing and clicking on Become A Member this is what comes up.  Note the new menu bar on the left side.  This allows you to avoid having to go back and forth between the home page to seek new topics.  There is an additional topic on this menu bar that is not on the home page; that is the Brochures button.

If you scroll your pointer over these topics then a drop‐down menu of the contents appears for each.  You can access these sub‐topics by clicking on them.  Be aware that these are sensitive to movement so be patient.

When you point and click on the second bulleted item on the Become A Member home page, Welcome Auxiliarist, this is the page that comes up.  It is the welcome letter from the current R/C  to USCGAux members who may be interested in joining USPS.  The partnership we have with the USCG and Aux is monitored through the Govt & Partners Relation Committee.  MEMCOM is involved by offering a personalized, quick application process for Auxiliary members.  So let’s see where “Click Here” takes you…

Here is the application that interested Auxiliarists complete online.  It goes to one of the MEMCOM Stf/Cs, currently Sandy Krupa, who assists the interested Auxiliarist become a member, whether by answering questions, directing them to a local squadron, or other.  It is personalized customer service much like what the squadron membership committee chairman provides.Let’s point and click on the “Membership Home” verbiage located at the top of the left side menu bar.

Scroll down the entire page, only part of it is shown here.  Each of the items in blue and underlined can be ‘clicked’ and more information will be displayed.  All MEMCOM Awards and Contests are represented.  The first section, General Informational Award Flyers, are single page, brief descriptions of the individual awards and contests.  The next section provides the details.  This information should be updated annually so that the applications and processes are current.  For instance, take a look at the BoatUS Civic Service Award section.  This award process was totally revised for 2013; an application is available for both squadrons and districts.  There is a full ‘how to’ for completing the application with explanation of how the award process will work.  It is greatly simplified for applicants.
