NAVIGATING COVID-19 OUTSIDE The Woodlands at Furman The Woodlands has collected these best practices for you to use as a guide as Greenville reopens for business. These suggestions are meant to help you assess your exposure and establish your own standards if you seek services and visit establishments away from the community. It is suggested you record your daily interactions in a contact log. Each of us has a personal responsibility to avoid being a source of infection to neighbors and staff. Please follow this guidance to help keep all within our community safe and healthy. Universal Best Practices • Always bring a mask and hand sanitizer with you when leaving home. • When possible, wear a mask. • Bring your own pen to use. • Use pockets for personal items to eliminate carrying a bag. • Hand-washing is your best protection. • Avoid close contact with others. • Don’t shake hands with anyone. • Be aware whether masks are worn by staff at the establishment, and if not, avoid that establishment. • If someone is showing signs of sickness, leave the establishment or avoid them by at least 10 feet. • Avoid touching common surfaces such as a check-in/checkout counter, and be aware of where your body touches. • Use hand sanitizer after touching any surface. • Ask if you can pay over the phone — if not, avoid cash, and handle your own credit card. • Disinfect your phone, payment source, glasses, keys, etc., as soon as possible. • Avoid touching your face.
