Foreword: Missing but Never Forgotten

Naveed Butt, honorable and respected son of this Ummah, outspoken

caller to Islam and its Khilafah, was abducted by the thugs of General

Kayani, the chief agent of America in Pakistan, on 11 May 2012. This

crime of Kayani’s is an outcome of the American policy to suppress the

rise of Islam and the return of its Khilafah. Naveed remains in the

dungeons of the tyrant, his whereabouts unknown.

This book highlights the global campaign, throughout the Muslim

World and beyond, mounted by Hizb ut Tahrir, under its Ameer, the

eminent jurist, Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, to secure the

release of Naveed Butt. It is a declaration that this Ummah does not regret

the sacrifices of its sons, for Allah (swt) will never waste the sincere

actions of His servants. It is a confirmation of the accord that this Ummah

gives Islam and those who strive and sacrifice to secure its return as a way

of life under the shade of the Khilafah. And it is a reminder to all those

who are free to speak for Islam and strive for its Khilafah in this era of

tyrants, that they must avail this privilege as much as they can, seeking the

pleasure of Allah (swt) and His Victory. And inshaaAllah the day is not

long before Muslims raise Naveed Butt on their shoulders, welcoming the

return of the Khilafah.

1. Indonesia

Protest in front of Pakistan Embassy against the Abduction

of Naveed Butt

24 June 2013, 15 Shaban 1434 AH. A delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir /

Indonesia to the Pakistani Embassy in Jakarta. The second Secretary was

given a communiqué from the Hizb to condemn the acts of repression and

abduction practiced by the unjust Pakistani regime towards Muslims

working for the implementation of Allah's Laws, especially towards

Engineer Naveed Butt, official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of

Pakistan, who remains in abduction after more than a year, his

whereabouts unknown. During the reception, the second Secretary at the

Embassy of the delegation was met by hundreds of Hizb members and

supporters demonstrating outside the embassy building.

2. Bangladesh

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh Sent a Delegation

to the Pakistan High Commission as Part of a Global

Campaign against the Abduction of Naveed Butt, the

Official Spokesman of the Hizb in Pakistan

Press Release of 20 June 2013, 11 Shaban 1434 AH. Hizb ut Tahrir /

Wilayah Bangladesh sent a five member delegation to the Pakistan High

Commission in Bangladesh today in order to submit a letter from Hizb ut

Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan, to the tyrant of Pakistan, General Kayani, at

whose behest the Pak agencies abducted Mr Naveed Butt more than a year

ago, on 11 May 2012. Initially the officials of the High Commission were

unwilling to meet the delegation. However the delegation insisted that the

High Commissioner meet with them and listen to the truth. At the end the

High Commissioner appointed the Deputy Secretary, Mr Ashraf to meet

the delegation. The head of the delegation conveyed a strong

condemnation of the year-long abduction of Naveed Butt, and that till

today his whereabouts is unknown. Neither his family has been informed

about where he is being kept nor has he been presented before a court,

despite court orders. The tyrant Kayani, who is the real ruler in Pakistan,

resorted to the means of abduction, which is a means used only by lowly

criminals, solely due to the stance taken by Naveed Butt and Hizb ut

Tahrir against his disgraceful submission to the Americans and betrayal of

the Muslims of Pakistan. The Deputy Secretary listened to the delegation

without any reply and agreed to forward the letter from Hizb ut Tahrir /

Wilayah Pakistan, to his government.

In the letter to Kayani the party demanded immediate release of

Naveed Butt. Moreover it warned Kayani of an impending punishment

which will be applied upon him by the soon to be established, Khilafah

state, in case he failed to release Naveed Butt, in addition to his other

crimes against Islam and the Ummah. Finally the party gave a stern

message to Kayani not to underestimate the warning, in the following

words,

“Lest you underestimate the value of our warning, it is best for

you that you consider your own precarious situation carefully.”

Firstly, consider your messages that you send to Hizb ut Tahrir

through your thugs and your spies, calling the Hizb to lighten its words

against you, offering in return that you will lighten your oppression against

the Hizb and even release Naveed! Did you consider how your repeated,

emphatic messages only confirm your precarious situation? Your messages

reveal that our words of truth have besieged you, for you are aware, as we

are aware, that Islam's commands are heeded deeply and widely by the

Muslim officers over whom the Americans installed you. Or do you not

know how they speak of you and your masters, openly in the barracks and

messes, as well as the high regard they have for Islam and its Khilafah?

Secondly, consider the immense pressure upon you from America

to be in the front line against the call for the Khilafah and the party of this

call, the Hizb. Did you not notice how this pressure has increased to great

degrees in recent times? Know that this pressure is because of the

realization of your masters that, the Khilafah is indeed near, with the signs

of its impending return sensed throughout the Islamic Lands, whether in

Pakistan or Syria or any other place. InshaaAllah it is not long now before

the eminent statesman, Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, the Ameer of Hizb

ut Tahrir deals with you as a Khaleefah for all the Muslims. And

remember, of all the tyrants in the Muslim World, your situation is one of

the most precarious, for you find yourself in the lands of the seventh

largest armed forces in the world, Pakistan, a Muslim army whom are

grandsons of Khalid, Salahudeen and Muhammad bin Qassim. Moreover,

when tyrants fall or fail in their services to the West, their Western masters

willingly abandon them to their fate, so that they are wrenched out by the

Ummah from the sewer or the gutter or any other lowly place!

Thirdly, O tyrant of Pakistan, despite the evidences to the contrary,

if you think you're immune to the winds of change, consider that your

peers amongst the tyrants and Pharaohs thought of themselves as if they

are immortals on the earth and gods other than Allah (swt). However, they

were met by what Allah ordained for them. And from them is the one who

is waiting now for his blackened misfortune, which he will see soon.

“Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a

measure for all things.” [Surah al-Talaaq 65:3]

3. Jordan

Demonstration against the Crimes of the Pakistani Regime

Completed Successfully Alhamdulillah

Press Release of 20 June 2013, 11 Shaban 1434 AH: Hizb ut Tahrir /

Wilayah of Jordan organized a protest in front of the Pakistani Embassy in

Amman/ Jordan to denounce the crimes of the Pakistani tyrant (General

Kayani).

A delegation from the Hizb in Jordan handed over the Pakistan

Embassy an open letter issued by Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Pakistan

addressing the tyrant Kayani, entitled " The year-long abduction of

Naveed Butt will neither delay nor prevent your end at the hands of a

Khaleefah Rashid", as Kayani’s thugs have abducted the spokesman of

the party in Pakistan, Naveed Butt, whilst he was returning from his kid's

school, accompanied by his kids, on 11th

of May 2012, and his

whereabouts are still unknown today, even after a full year on abduction.

The protest included a condemnation submission of the Pakistani

regime led by Kayani before America. This submission allows Americans

to kill the Muslims of Pakistan via drone attacks and through killers’

networks, such as the criminal American Raymond Davis’s network. The

slogans in the protest condemned Kayani and his gang. The Hizb

delegation headed by the Chairman of the Central Contact Committee

handed over the open letter to Kayani to the Pakistani ambassador and the

Ambassador promised to deliver the message. The protest was covered by

the local and international media.

We ask Allah the Almighty for our protest and our words to have

impact upon the hearts of the sincere officers of the Pakistani military,

such that it inspires them with the bravery of Muhammad bin Qasim اهلل رحمه

and enhance their loyalty to their Deen and their Ummah, inciting them to

save the Ummah from these corrupt rulers, so they will gain the honor and

the reward of the first Ansar.

4. Sudan

A Delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan Delivers

to the Pakistani Embassy an Open letter to General Kayani

Press Release of 3 June 2013, 24 Rajab 1434 AH. A delegation of

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan, headed by Mr. Nasser Riza, Head of

Central Contact Committee, accompanied by Mr. Ibrahim Osman Abu

Khalil, Spokesman for Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah Sudan and Mr. Abdul

Rahman Hassan Taha, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir. The delegation handed

over to the Pakistani embassy in Khartoum an open letter to General

Kayani from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Pakistan, entitled: “The year-

long abduction of Naveed Butt will not delay or prevent your end at

the hands of a Khaleefah Rashid.”

The letter stated: “We address you, General Kayani, as the key agent

of America in Pakistan, a guardian for the American Raj in Pakistan and

this region…We address you as we find you, a man who betrayed our

people and our armed forces by establishing America’s military presence

on our doorstep…Thus, we denounce your abduction of our noble brother,

Naveed Butt, confining him to your dungeons for over a year, since 11

May 2012. Naveed Butt as the spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir is a man

renowned for speaking defiantly, fearing none but Allah (swt), exposing

your American masters’ plans… Lest you underestimate the value of our

warning, it is best for you that you consider your own precarious situation

all over the world, as well as local channels.

Protest in front of the Pakistani Embassy Concluded

Successfully Alhamdulillah

Press Release of 18 June 2013, 9 Shaban 1434 AH. Hizb ut Tahrir/

Wilayah Tunisia organized a protest on Monday, 17th

June 2013 in front of

the Pakistan Embassy in Tunis to protest the ongoing abduction by the

Pakistani intelligence of the Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah

of Pakistan, Naveed Butt. Since 11th

May 2012 his whereabouts remain

unknown.

A delegation of the party headed by Abu Raouf al-Amiri, head of the

Political Office and accompanied by the brothers Arabi Carbaka, Chairman

of the Central Contact Committee, and Saleem Samida member of the

Central Contact Committee. They handed over to the Pakistani embassy in

Tunis an Open Letter to General Kayani, from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah

Pakistan, entitled: “The year-long abduction of Naveed Butt will not

delay or prevent your end at the hands of a Khaleefah Rashid.”

It is stated in the letter:

"We address you, General Kayani, as the key agent of America in

Pakistan, a guardian for the American Raj in Pakistan and this region…

We address you as we find you, a man who betrayed our people and

our armed forces by establishing America’s military presence on our

doorstep, a man who is deepening his betrayal now, by establishing a

permanent crusader presence, under the cover of a partial, limited

withdrawal. A traitor who broke his oath to defend the country from its

enemies, by establishing the enemies’ intelligence, military and private

military deep within the country, its length and its breadth. An oath-

breaker who silences and confines to the dungeons any Muslim, officer or

politician, that raises the word of truth against him, exposing his treachery

before this noble Ummah, to secure her from harm.

Thus, we denounce your abduction of our noble brother, Naveed Butt,

confining him to your dungeons for over a year, since 11 May 2012.

Naveed Butt as the spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir is a man renowned for

It is also worthy of mentioning that this is the second protest that was

organized by the Hizb in Tunis against this cowardly criminal act of the

Pakistani regime who has not spared the Dawah carrier.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir emphasize that this protest will be followed by

several protests until the release of the spokesman, and Kayani's regime

and his thugs will not be able to silence the Dawah carrier.

6. Australia

12 June 2013: A delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir in Australia visited the

Pakistani Consulate in Sydney on Friday, 07/06/2103, to deliver a letter in

relation to the abduction of its media spokesperson in Pakistan, Naveed

Butt. A demonstration outside the consulate was also held on Monday

10/06/2013 in relation to this matter.

It has now been over a year since Naveed Butt was abducted by

Pakistani state agencies in May 2011 from Lahore in front of his children

as he took them home from school. Naveed Butt, a father a four and an

engineer by profession, has for many years been a staunch opponent of

successive Pakistani governments and the Pakistani army command for

their corruption and servitude of America and espoused an alternative

forward-looking Islamic Caliphate system for Pakistan. It was for these

political views and his work for Hizb ut Tahrir that he was abducted.

The delegation - comprising of Uthman Badar and Haroon Bakhsh –

met with Mr. Junaid at the reception of the consulate who, after repeated

discussions with superiors in the office, indicated that no office was willing

to come out and meet the delegation or receive the letter. The delegation

conveyed its strong condemnation of Naveed Butt’s abduction and its

demand for his immediate release at the reception and handed over the

letter.

The letter delivered was addressed to the Pakistani Army Chief

General Pervaz Ashfaq Kayani, recounting his numerous acts of betrayal to

Pakistan and its people in service of America, and warning him that the end

of his traitorous leadership is not far.

7. Ukraine

A Delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir - Ukraine Delivers an

Open Letter to the Embassy of Pakistan in Kiev

(Translated)

Yesterday, 17 June 2013, a delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir in Ukraine

visit the Pakistan Embassy in Kiev and hand over them an open letter

entitled: "The year-long abduction of Naveed Butt will neither delay

nor prevent your end at the hands of a Khaleefah Rashid" The

delegation who visited the embassy were three members from Hizb ut-

Tahrir: Omziv Fadhil (Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in

Ukraine), Liev Battaal (party member) and Abdus-Salam Salmatov (party

member).

The Hizb’s delegation did not find the ambassador in his office,

therefore the representative of the diplomatic mission met them on behalf

of the ambassador. During the discussion, which was in English at the

request of the representative of the Embassy, the delegation explained the

criminal activity of General Kayani and his service to American interests

for which he ordered harassment, kidnapping and torture of the Dawah

carriers from the members of Hizb ut Tahrir and in particular the

spokesman for the Hizb in Pakistan, Naveed Butt, who was kidnapped a

year ago on May 11, 2012, in front of his children.

The delegation pointed to the futility of such cowardly and desperate

attempts to weaken the call for the establishment of the Khilafah, for these

criminal practices will only enhance the desire of the Ummah to rule of

Allah (swt).

Moreover, the delegation warned the embassy staff that they are here

in Ukraine to represent the people of Pakistan and not the cowardly

criminal regime led by General Kayani, who looks at the people as if they

are the main threat to himself and his American masters.

In response to a question; do you know anything about the Hizb ut

Tahrir; the representative of the diplomatic mission said that he knows

about the Hizb through the newspapers. And regarding his stance towards

what he heard about, he said that only the Pakistani ambassador in Ukraine

can express his position about that.

And then the delegation hand over the open letter in four languages:

the Arabic, Urdu, English and Russian.

Finally the representative promised the delegation to give the letter to

the Pakistani ambassador in Ukraine, also he promised to personally tell

him all that he heard.

Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan has undertaken a mammoth campaign

for securing the release of Naveed Butt and raise awareness of the crime of

the tyrants against him. It has distributed leaflets in tens of thousands, sent

out tens of thousands of SMS’s and e-mails, displayed posters and stickers

throughout the major cities of Pakistan. In addition it has held protests in

front of the media as well as contacting the influential and addressing the

public through campaigns of Press Releases and leaflets.

The Year-Long Abduction of Naveed Butt will not Delay or

Prevent your End at the Hands of a Khaleefah Rashid

Peace is only upon those who follow guidance!

We send this letter to you via the diplomatic missions of Pakistan

around the world, as well as by local channels, by which we know our

message will reach you. We address you, General Kayani, as the key agent

of America in Pakistan, a guardian for the American Raj in Pakistan and

this region. We address you at a time when one veil for your treachery

departs, the government of Raja Pervez Ashraf, and another veil arrives,

the government of Nawaz Sharif, after the elections of 11 May 2013. As if

this ploy would veil your heinous crimes from the Lord of the Worlds

(swt), As-Samee’, Al-Baseer, Al-Aleem!

We address you as we find you, a man who betrayed our people and

our armed forces by establishing America’s military presence on our

doorstep, and a man who is deepening his betrayal now, by establishing a

(swt). Allah (swt) in the Hadeeth Qudsi,

“ رب إن الله قال من عادى لي وليا ف قد آذن ته بالح " وسلم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said that Allah said,

“Whosoever harms my Wali I will declare a war against him …”

(Bukhari).

We further warn you that this crime of yours, the abduction of Naveed,

will be added to your other crimes, when you are seized soon, InshaaAllah,

by a Khaleefah Rashid, ruling by Islam and unifying this noble Ummah

against its enemies. The very least you can do as a Tawba and an appeal

for clemency, in preparation for that day, is that you should make way for

the Ummah in its march towards the establishment of the Khilafah, and

thus remove yourself as an obstacle to its sons in Hizb ut Tahrir. So in

some small way, you will have sided with the Ummah, as the moment of

its triumph draws near. Lest you underestimate the value of our warning, it

is best for you that you consider your own precarious situation carefully.
