PANEL CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

Decorative materials made of bamboo products on marine grade plywood substrate.

Applications

Specifications:

a.) Bamboo Laminated Panels – are made of crushed & sliced bamboo poles laminated with one

component PVA glue on 5mm marine plywood.

Size: 1.22M x 2.44M (4’x 8’)

Thickness: 6 – 9 mm

b.) Laminated Woven Panels – are woven mattings laminated with high grade contact cement on

5mm marine plywood.

Size: Varies depending on materials actual width ranging from 60mm to 90mm

Thickness: 6 – 7 mm

Cutting Instructions:

Saw Cutting

Tool: Circular Saw 120 teeth speed (RPM) 2,800. Finer teeth & higher speed will have better result in

cutting.

To prevent plywood and bamboo from chipping off, apply paper masking tape on the area to be cut.

* Chipped materials can be retouched / repaired by using fast glue or cyanoacrylate adhesive.

Router Cutting – speed recommended is more than 20,000 RPM

After cutting, rough edges can be sanded using power tool with grit # 50 grinding disc or hand

sanding using grit # 100 sand paper.

Fastening

Wood screw is recommended or combination of glue & screw. For screws use the following method;

Make a hole as big as screw head or more using router or trimmer then make a hole as big as the

screw body in the plywood part in order the screw will only pinch the plywood part.

Fill the hole on the coco shell part by using wood putty, select putty color similar to panels color.

Above procedures are also suitable to any Bamboo Laminated Panels.
