2014 was the hottest year on record

The Japan Meteorological Association (JMA) has become the latest organisation to claim that 2014 was the hottest on record. They say it was 0.27°C warmer than the average from 1981 to 2010, and 0.63°C warmer than the 20th century average - without the help of an El Niño weather event. And according to their data, ten of the hottest years on record have come since 1998. The JMA joins Nasa and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa) in the US, and the UK Met Office, as one of four major global temperature 'keepers' to reveal 2014 was the hottest ever.All four make their readings separately to one another - and they have all individually come to the same conclusion that last year was the hottest since records began in the late 19th century. Experts say the rate at which it is warming is alarmingly quick, and heavily suggests the emission of CO2 by humans is causing manmade global warming

Severe sandstorm hits Israel

A Mideast sandstorm roared into Israel and Lebanon on Wednesday, causing the worst Israeli air pollution in years and sending powerful waves tearing into Beirut's famed corniche along the Mediterranean Sea. The sandstorm, made up of accumulated dust carried from the far reaches of the Sahara Desert in North Africa, also engulfed Cairo for a second day. High winds lashed those on the streets, causing some to walk backward to avoid getting the grit in their faces. Israel's Environmental Protection Ministry said air pollution levels were the country's worst in five years and the storm would last into Wednesday night. Israeli airports spokeswoman Liza Dvir said flights to and from the Red Sea resort city of Eilat temporarily were grounded due to the weather, though planes still flew through the country's main international hub, Ben Gurion Airport

On Tuesday, the strong sandstorm first reached Egypt, temporarily closing Cairo International Airport to incoming flights. The weather front also caused strong waves to crash into the coast and saw Egypt close two of its seaports. This was of course exactly when Putin arrived.There is a storm coming. And Putin will head it up. We are told in Daniel 11 that the king of the north will come down like a whirlwind. In Ezekiel 38 are told that Gog (Russian leader) will ascend and come like a storm. He will be like a cloud to cover the land. This sandstorm as Putin arrived is a sign to show us what is really coming.A terrible storm – an army so large they will be like locusts covering the ground. When Putin finally invades it truly will be the greatest storm the world has ever seen…

Australia warns of 'calamity' as cyclones hit northeast

Two cyclones have left a trail of destruction and forced mass evacuations across northern Australia, crushing homes and raising fears of flooding. In an unusual event which has never previously been recorded in Australia, two serious but separate cyclones struck the country simultaneously. Cyclone Marcia crossed the Queensland coast with winds of up to 180 miles an hour, causing high tides and dangerous surf and reportedly dumping a dead shark on a beach. The category five cyclone was downgraded as it crossed the coast near the town of Rockhampton and headed south.Residents across north-east Queensland have reported flooded houses and roads, smashed roofs and fallen trees. Many people have been forced to take shelter in evacuation centres but the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Solar eclipse to disrupt power supplies

Power supplies could drop suddenly next month when the UK is plunged into darkness with an eclipse of the sun. Energy experts warned there could be possible blackouts in the biggest solar eclipse since 1999. Nearly 90 per cent of the sun's rays will be blocked out in parts of Europe on March 20.In London and the South East, 85 per cent of the sun will be obscured by the moon whilst in northern Scotland, more than 95 per cent will be covered. The National Grid has warned that solar power output in Britain will halve during the event. The eclipse will last around two hours from 8.40am. The next one will not be until 2026.

In a few weeks time on March 20th a shadow will be cast over Europe as a solar eclipse occurs. It is actually quite interesting to note exactly where the shadow falls.The map above clearly shows the shadow of the eclipse covering the whole of Europe, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Syria, Iraq/Iran and north Africa. Obviously the sun will only be partially dark at the edges but a shadow is created. This shadow covers the exact nations mentioned in the Bible as being part of the final judgement of the world. All 3 stages of the final conflict are covered here. Stage 1 being war with Israel’s immediate enemies (Hamas, Syria, Hezbollah.). Stage 2 being Russia, Turkey, Iran, northern African nations. Stage 3 being Europe / Vatican. Could this darkening of the sun over these very nations be a sign that the final judgement is about to happen? Let us see!

Friday sees three rare celestial events

As the eclipse plunges the UK and other places into darkness this Friday, two other rare if less spectacular celestial events will be taking place, too: a Supermoon and the Spring equinox. A Supermoon, or perigee moon, happens when the full or new moon does its closest fly-by of the Earth, making it look bigger than it normally does. And the spring equinox refers to the time of the year when the day and night are of equal duration, mid-way between the longest and shortest days. The solar eclipse refers to a phenomenon where the sun and moon line up, so that the latter obscures the former. And while it wont be affected by the two other events, it is rare that the three events happen even individually.

We have seen some remarkable and wonderful signs in the heavens this week. The total solar eclipse (for the first time in earth’s history) passed directly over the north pole. Experts by winding the clock back as it were say the last time a total eclipse was witnessed at the north pole was over 100,000 years ago. But of course the earth did not exist then. The other remarkable thing is that the shadow cast by the eclipse covers the exact nations mentioned in the Bible as invading Israel. All of Europe, Russia, north Africa, Iran and the Middle East. All this came on the same day as the spring equinox and also a supermoon. Total solar eclipses are believed to be signs against the Gentile world. Whereas total lunar eclipses are believed to be signs against the Jewish world.The next lunar eclipse comes in 2 weeks time at Passover. This is the third of a series of 4 blood moons. The last time there were 4 blood moons was in 1967. The time before that 1949. The time before that 1492! These truly are signs in the heavens….

Millions watch 'blood moon' rise in total lunar eclipse

Millions of stargazers watched today's 'blood moon' in the shortest lunar eclipse this century. A partial eclipse was visible to the entire united states as the moon entered Earth's shadow at 6.16am Eastern Daylight Saving Time - five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time - according to NASA. Those west of the Mississippi river were expected to have the best views of the event in which the moon turned blood red before disappearing for five minutes in a total lunar eclipse.

This was the third lunar eclipse in a series of four, known as a tetrad. The first two were in April and September last year, with the final eclipse in the cycle on September 28 this year. It is interesting to note that this lunar eclipse (today) falls on Passover. The next lunar eclipse falls on Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). This series of 4 lunar eclipses called a Tetrad is very, very rare. There have only been 8 in the last 2000 years and only 3 since 1492. The last ones were Tetrad of 1493-1494, Tetrad of 1949-1950, Tetrad of 1967-1968 and now the Tetrad of 2014-2015. We know the significance of 1949-50 which saw conflict over Israel as it had only just been created. We know there was conflict over Israel in 1967 when Israel recaptured Jerusalem. These dates are the most significant events to do with Israel since AD70 and a Tetrad occured next to both of them. Now here we are with another Tetrad. Are we about to see another conflict over Israel in line with this one? There won’t be another for about 600 years! The Bible says that the moon will turn to blood BEFORE the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. We have been watching how close it is – the signs in the heavens also say so

Nepal earthquake destroys historic temples

When a 7.8-magnitude earthquake roared through this Himalayan nation last Saturday (April 25), leaving an estimated 5,500 dead and more than 11,000 injured, shrines and temples were sent crashing to the ground, many of them centuries old and irreplaceable cultural treasures. According to the United Nations, 600,000 houses have been destroyed or damaged, and 2 million Nepalese will need tents, water, food and medicine. Many here say they will also need God, regardless of what happened to the temples, shrines and churches. About 80 percent of Nepalese are Hindu, making Nepal the second-largest Hindu nation outside of India, with about 2 percent of the global total. Most Hindus believe in a kind of fatalism, and many here seemed unrattled by the quake as a test of faith, even as their temples and shrines were flattened.

At the top of the tower was a statue of the god Shiva. This god is also known as Mahadeva (”The Great God"), and is one of the main deities of Hinduism. He is the supreme god within Shaivism a main branch of Hinduism. All the way through the Bible we are told that God hates false gods. Throughout the Bible earthquakes represent God’s judgement. We see here a warning from God that all false gods will soon be removed…

Pluto: an enigma in close-up

Only a month ago, Pluto was one of the most mysterious objects in the Solar System — so remote scientists weren’t even sure of its size. Today, we not only have a clear measure of its diameter (2,370 kilometres, give or take 20 kilometres), but we know it has a red-streaked polar cap, steep mountains nearly as tall as New Zealand’s Mt. Cook, and a surface so fresh and smooth that scientists think it might still be geologically alive. And it looks like the cold distant body will continue to surprise us.The first close-ups of Pluto were remarkable. Giant mountains, probably made of rock-hard water ice, towered 3,300 metres above Pluto’s surface. Scientifically, the biggest shock so far is the complete lack of impact craters on the entire 250-by-150-kilometre section of Pluto's surface for which New Horizons has beamed home high resolution imagery. Scientists had expected to find a world frozen with no geological activity.

We have reached the edge in more ways than one. Mankind stands on the very edge / the very brink of astounding things. It is interesting that what the scientists found on Pluto was not at all what they were expecting. In fact it couldn't’t have been more different. It has totally shocked them. They are going to have to rewrite many things on the back of what they can now see. We stand on the edge / the final frontier of the rule of mankind. What we are about to see (the return of Christ) will also mean scientists will have to rewrite all the rules….

Locust swarm blots out the sun in Russian region

Plagues of locusts are swarming large areas of southern Russia, threatening thousands of acres of crops and in some places darkening the skies. . Videos, screened by local TV channels, showed clouds of locusts flying overhead. “It was very frightening,” Lubov Timus, a local woman who lives in Achikulak, told ABC News. “They came like a clouds.” The waves of locusts began around July 20, according to Stavropol’s regional agricultural ministry. Vasilii Yegorov, a deputy agricultural minister, told ABC News that locusts appear in the region every year but normally they are able to exterminate them before they hatch. Swarms have been reported across many other southern regions, stretching from Chechnya to the Astrakhan province on the Caspian Sea. Because of the locusts, a state of emergency has been declared in three regions near Stavropol, according to local media. In Stavropol alone, efforts to kill the insects have stretched across more than 350 miles, according to officials.

A Biblical plague of locusts in Southern Russia is amazing to see with Bible in hand.In Joel 1 v 1-12 we read about a plague of locusts coming. Read it in a modern version as it talks about the different stages of the locust. In verse 6 we read that the locusts are symbolic of a nation powerful and without number invading God’s land. In chapter 2 the army comes. And there has never been an army like this one. It devours everything in front of it. Before them it looks like Eden, behind them as they pass over it is a desert waste. Joel 2v20 says the sky goes dark and there are thick clouds (like locusts). So who is this army? Well Joel 2:20 tells us they are a “northern army”. We are told God himself will destroy this army. The northern army that invades with such destruction is of course Russia. And this week the locust swarms literally have appeared!

Scorching 'heat dome' over Middle East

Iran is buckling under the pressure of a massive heatwave passing across the Middle East, with temperatures soaring to nearly 70C. Scorching heat levels of 50C have already paralysed nearby Iraq, where officials were forced to call a four day public holiday because it was too hot to work. But the word "hot" has taken on an entirely new meaning in Iran's city of Bandar Mahshahr, where it was claimed that the city's heat index, or "feels-like temperature", was among the highest ever recorded.The heat index was recorded by a group of astonished weather experts who predict the country could be enduring some of the hottest urban temperatures ever endured by mankind. 'That was one of the most incredible temperature observations I have ever seen and it is one of the most extreme readings ever in the world,' said AccuWeather meteorologist Anthony Saglia. It is just a few degrees lower than the highest ever recorded heat index, which was 178F (81C) in Dhahran,Saudi Arabia on July 8, 2003.

The heat index is not the same as air temperature. It is a recognised index that combines air temperature and relative humidity in an attempt to determine the human-perceived equivalent temperature. In other words how hot does it feel to a human! It’s like the wind chill index. How cold does it actually feel. The heat index in Iran reached incredible figures - nearly 70C! Great heat is mentioned in the Bible and almost every time it is in conjunction with God’s punishments and anger. See Revelation 16:9, 2 Peter 3:12, James 1:11, Deuteronomy 29:24. We know God’s punishments will be poured out on Iran the treacherous dealer who want to destroy Israel. Last week Iran was struck by a meteor close to the capital Tehran. The signs are there if we watch!

'Godzilla El Nino' will bring chaos including floods and wildfires to the world

A so-called "Godzilla El Nino" could bring chaos including floods, drought and wildfires to large parts of the world this winter, according to weather experts. The potentially record-breaking phenomenon would disrupt global weather patterns with possible consequences including a freezing winter in Britain, devastating storms in the United States, mudslides in South America, parched conditions in south Asia, and raging wildfires in Australia. Bill Patzert, a climatologist at Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, said: “This definitely has the potential of being the Godzilla El Nino. If this lives up to its potential, this thing can bring a lot of floods, mudslides and mayhem."An El Nino occurs every two to seven years and Nasa is closely monitoring water temperatures in the eastern Pacific Ocean, which is a key indicator. Sea surface temperatures off Peru are already 3.4F above average and have been rising for months.

The latest El Nino is already being blamed for floods in Chile and drought conditions in the Philippines, Indonesia and Australia. Water temperatures in the eastern Pacific are already higher than at the same stage during 1997, when the most powerful El Nino yet recorded struck. That led to the deaths of an estimated 23,000 people around the world and caused $45 billion (£28.7 billion) in damage. It also affected the price of commodities, including sending the price of coffee soaring. During a so-called "super El Nino" global temperatures also rise and experts said 2015 will probably be the hottest year on record. These extreme weather conditions are part of the physical world groaning in travail. The earth is in pain under the weight of sin. In the kingdom age the groaning will stop. The earth will be at peace and sin will be restrained.

We reach the end of a 70 year period where the nations have been at ease. A new temple will be built…

Sandstorm plaguing Israel is worst in country’s history

The dense sandstorm that has blanketed Israel with a thick yellowish brown dust in recent days is the worst that the Jewish state has ever endured, the Environmental Protection Ministry said Friday. According to the ministry, the current storm, which began Tuesday, and the one experienced in February of this year have seen the highest concentration of dust particles in the air since the creation of the state in 1948, Channel 10 reported. The storm is expected to continue throughout the weekend and begin dissipating Sunday. A sharp rise in temperature on Wednesday added to the already difficult weather conditions, and forecasters on Thursday predicted that the dust, heatwave and high humidity would only taper off Saturday evening.

I couldn’t believe my eyes, when I pulled back the curtain and looked outside. A sandstorm had drifted in and settled over us. I hoped it wouldn’t last more than 24 hours, but it was still here this morning. The air doesn’t move and it’s dry and hot like an oven and stings a bit on exposed skin. I went into Jerusalem today for my last-minute holiday shopping and my heart just sank at the listless look of all the trees standing still and erect and covered in a grey coat of dirt. All this comes at the very end of the Jewish Year. On Sunday evening a new year begins in Israel. Rosh Hashanah. But a storm is coming...

18 dead in 'apocalyptic' French Riviera floods

A British woman is among 19 people who died in “apocalyptic” floods that devastated the French Riviera over the weekend, as the search continues for are least three more still missing. Mediterranean resort towns normally associated with sun and glitz, including Cannes, Nice and Antibes, were battered by a torrential downpour on Saturday night that trapped residents in cars, parking garages and retirement homes.Torrents of water rushed through previously pristine streets, dumping cars and mud in its wake and destroying businesses across the Côte d’Azur.The victim, who AFP confirmed was a woman, citing sources "close to the case", was reportedly swept away by a wall of water while on holiday with her husband at the Pylone Campsite near Antibes. Her body was found later by emergency services as dozens of Britons were evacuated by helicopter.

We keep seeing incredible weather events around the world. This week saw floods in the French Riviera that killed 20 people. Earlier in the year more than 1,200 people died in Pakistan of heatstroke and dehydration as temperatures soared far above 40C and power cuts crippled Karachi. India is recovering from the second deadliest heat wave in the country's history, which had killed 2,500 people a few months ago.A huge storm front that moved through Texas and Oklahoma at the end of May triggered record-breaking rainfall and spawned several tornadoes. Almost 500 people are estimated to have been killed by tornadoes so far this year, mostly in China.All of these are signs we are nearing the end. The physical earth is groaning under the sin of its inhabitants. We know only Jesus Christ returning will put it right.

Hurricane Patricia 'strongest storm on record'

Hurricane Patricia, the record-breaking category 5 hurricane, rumbled across western Mexico early on Saturday, uprooting trees and triggering some landslides but causing less damage than feared for such a massive storm, officials said.Authorities relocated coastal residents, evacuated tourists from beach hotels and closed sea ports, airports and schools in several states before Patricia made landfall in Jalisco state as a huge category five hurricane.Patricia had grown into the strongest hurricane ever recorded hours before reaching the coast, raising fears that it would bring death and destruction across the country.But almost five hours after landfall, President Enrique Pena Nieto addressed the nation on television, saying that the first reports “confirm that the damages have been smaller than those corresponding to a hurricane of this magnitude.”

Oxygen discovered on comet, stunning scientists

The Rosetta spacecraft has discovered molecular oxygen in the cloud of gas surrounding the comet it is tracking.The discovery has come as a complete surprise to scientists who thought that oxygen would have reacted with other elements as planets were forming.The results indicate that current ideas about how our Solar System formed may be wrong. One of the scientists involved, Professor Kathrin Altwegg of Bern University said that the scientists involved in the study thought the result was a mistake when they first saw the data. "When we first saw it, we went a little bit into denial because it is not what you would expect to find on a comet," she said.That is because oxygen reacts very easily with other elements to form compounds, rather than stay in its unique form.

The discovery of oxygen surrounding the comet was so “unbelievable” for the scientists that they have kept it secret for months! They almost went into denial. It could not / or should not be there! Professor Kathrin Altwegg, project leader for Rosetta's Rosina mass spectrometer instrument, said: 'We had never thought that oxygen could 'survive' for billions of years.’ Every computer model says that all the oxygen on the comet should have been reprocessed after 4.5bn years. But it is there. It literally means that text books that supposedly tell us how the solar system formed will need to be rewritten. OR what mankind could do is believe God. He tells us that he made the universe and everything in it in 6 days. And those 6 days were only 6000 years ago. Once more scientists are confounded and we have proof that God’s word is true!

Warmest December: how worrying world’s weather?

December temperatures in London have been warmer than July’s. Scotland is balmier than Barcelona. Artificial snow covers European ski slopes. Africa faces its worst food crisis in a generation as floods and droughts strike vulnerable countries. With unusual weather from Britain to Australia, scientists are blaming climate change – but also the natural phenomenon called El Niño, which is raising temperatures and disrupting weather patterns. A double whammy then, but how disturbed should we be as the records tumble? According to the UK Met Office, the exceptional warmth in Britain and northern continental Europe is linked to the strongest El Niño ever recorded. The cyclical event, named after the birth of Christ because it traditionally occurs in Latin America around Christmas, sees temperatures in the equatorial Pacific rise several degrees. The consequences in years like this are dramatic. Monsoons and trade winds are disrupted, leading to cyclones, droughts, floods and food shortages across the world.

El Nino means the boy child and refers apparently to Jesus Christ as the El Nino effect happens around Christmas time in South America. El Nino occurs when temperatures in the Pacific Ocean rise due to a change in the normal wind direction, which causes extreme weather patterns across the world. While it is a naturally occurring event, scientists believe that greenhouse gases and subsequent global warming are intensifying its effects, as the number of El Nino events has increased noticeably in the last few decades. We long for the time when Jesus Christ (the man) will return physically from heaven. He will restore creation’s balance and repair the earth.
