DID YOU KNOW?
Abusive behavior is nonconsensual
The term “consensual”
implies that a person freely
agrees to do something and
understands what they are
consenting to do. When it
comes to child abuse, no
child can give consent, or
freely agree, to engage in
inappropriate behavior
with an older person –
however children can be
manipulated such that it
appears they have consent-
ed in some way out of def-
erence to the abuser’s au-
thority. This is why abuse
often involves misuse or
abuse of power over a vic-
tim and can be accom-
plished through a range of
inappropriate behaviors
that give the abuser the
upper hand. To read more

hank ou! FOR
elebrating aster with us
We, the Nativity Parish priests, staff and volunteers, wish all of you a blessed feast. We welcome those visiting our church, and we invite you to return. May you have a wonderful Easter with your family and friends. Thank you for celebrating with us!
A Word from Fr. Roberto Dear Parishioners,
“I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Mt 28:20) says Jesus to us. It has been a year since we began this difficult & dark chapter of our church, family, and individual lives. Each of us have dealt with this pandemic in our own person-al and different ways. But one thing is true, as long as we walk with Jesus & sus-tain each other, we can continue to embrace this new Covid reality with patience, creativity, perseverance & grace.
Since we reopened on the Feast of Corpus Christi last year, rain or shine, Jesus offers Himself and walks with us in the Eucharist, Confession, the sacraments, through our church and school community. We did not give up in being “Church” – Mystical the Body of Christ. Whether in person or online, we contin-ued to gather, pray, sing, serve, mourn, console, give of ourselves and of our blessings. Thank you for remaining to be a ‘living stone’ - the jigsaw puzzle piece that make up Nativity Church.
With more people getting the vaccine, the glimmer of hope grows brighter. This Holy Week we are reminded of a Spiritual Vaccine, who is the very source of our hope, strength, peace, joy, spiritual health and well-being – our Lord Jesus. Like any vaccine, its benefits only take effect when we receive it.
As we approach Holy Week, I hope you join us in our celebrations. These are grace-filled moments that will benefit you & your families tremendously. Remem-ber He died and rose for you, your loved ones, and I so that we may have a Spir-itual Vaccine to keep us spiritually healthy & holy for God.
On behalf of Fr. Joseph, Msgr. Gomez, Sr. Stacy, our parish and school staff, I wish you all a BLESSED EASTER AND NEW LIFE IN THE RISEN CHRIST.
Your Companion In Christ,
Fr. Roberto

¿SABIA USTED?
Padre Roberto
