Why You Should Attend Present your work to a group of peers and
be taken seriously as a writer. Meet and network with students and
faculty from schools across the country. Associate with published authors. It looks great on a resume. We go out to eat!
Submission GuidelinesParticipants need to have been an undergraduate student during 2009-10 and not yet have attended graduate school. Submission must be original work. Despite the length of submission, presentation of submission cannot exceed 15 minutes. Original poetry submissions have a three poem minimum and five poem maximum, unless submission exceeds 15 minute reading limit. Special Criteria for Spanish/Hispanic Submissions:
o Creative submissions can be in Spanish or Englisho Research submissions can be in Spanish or English
Submission Deadline: Submissions will be accepted starting December 15, 2010. The deadline is January 25, 2011 (January 15 to be considered for publication in Metaphor (WSU’s literary journal). Students will be notified of their approval by February 28, 2011.

• Acceptance letters go out in February (usually).
