The main functions of the Department of Meteorological Stations Network (DMSN) is to establish all types of meteorological stations & to monitor their activities to get reliable & sophisticated data according to
WMO guides.
Some of main activities of DMSN :
- Quality & quantity control & monitoring of observed meteorological data
- Monitoring the activities of observers
- Short-term training of all observers
-Keep WMO up-to-date with the latest changes related to Meta data of the all stations in GTS
- Standardization of all Meteorological stations particularlyairport / aeronautical stations
