Characterization of nanoparticles through medium-energy ion scattering (MEIS):

We followed a quite general approach, where any nanoparticle geometry, inclusions, porous, inhomogeneities, and their corresponding areal and size distributions are accounted for.

To this end, we use the Monte Carlo method for the 3D-spacial integrations and determine the incoming-and outgoing-projectile paths numerically from the incident and scattering angles.

Plasma nitriding followed by post-oxidation is a good candidate as replacement for chromiunelectroplating and salt and gas-oxidation techniques due to enviromental-frendly aspects and surafceproperties:- hard and wear resistance nitriding layer + corrosion resistant and low friction oxide outermost layer.

- hematite free oxide layer, since it is porous and brittle.

Most of doctors stay in the Academy:

Many new positions at traditional and new Universities in the last few years.(it is not easy to find a pos-doc)

However, some students went to the industries that can be:

large ones, like Petrobras and Braskem

or small (spin-off): Plasmar Tecnologia (Caxias do Sul) and Clorovale Diamantes Indústria e Comércio S.A.
