*1- Nationality

Foreign students shall be confined to as an individual who does not hold Republic of

China (Taiwan) nationality, who has never held Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality

nor has an overseas Chinese student status.

Note:

1. Individuals who are holding foreign nationalities and have stayed abroad for ore

than ! years (till February 1st, "#1$) and who are %ualified for one of the following

situations are considered as international students.

i. Individuals holding both foreign and R.&.C. nationalities but have never had the

household registration in Taiwan are considered as international students.

ii. Individuals once had R.&.C. nationality but have never registered as a peranent

citi'en of Republic of China (Taiwan) are considered as foreign students.

iii. Individuals holding foreign nationality and once had R.&.C. nationality but have

not had household registration issued by inistry of Interior for at least years (till

February 1

st

, "#1$) are considered as foreign students.iv. The above individuals who have never held overseas Chinese student status and

studied in Taiwan nor have received a student status by *niversity +ntrance

Coittee for &verseas Chinese in the enrollent year.

". Individuals who are not liited by the entioned rules are students who are

recoended by governents, organi'ations or schools and approved by the

entioned institutions, and have never had Republic of China (Taiwan) household

registration.

*2- 8ducation 9acground

pplicants that graduated fro a high school, college, or university recogni'ed by the

inistry of +ducation of Taiwan can apply for adission (for ore inforation, please

refer to http-www.fsedu.oe.gov.twinde/.php). International students who have been

e/pelled fro other universities in Taiwan are not eligible for application.

Foreign students with high school diploas are eligible for 0year

undergraduate progras2 and those with 3unior college diploas are eligible for "

year undergraduate progras.

4raduate adissions

1. Foreign students with 5achelor6s degrees are eligible for aster progras2 and

those with aster6s degrees are eligible for doctoral progras.

". Foreign students who have copleted their bachelor6s degrees (or above) in

Taiwan and wish to apply for higher education are re%uired to present their

diploas and official transcripts and follow the application procedure.

(D)Foreign students who have the household registration, naturali'ation or restoration to

R.&.C. nationality during your study have to lose your foreign students status and

accept the discontinuation of your study by the *niversity.

Taiwan.
