environmental hazards • NEC2: Environmental practical

Students are assessed by a writtenexamination and a practical Environmentalreview of the student’s own workplace.
Who is the course for?Managers, supervisors and employeesbased in the UK, who have responsibilityfor managing environment issues, as part oftheir day to day duties.
Learning outcomesIt covers the practical issues of managingenvironmental risk. The syllabus takes a riskmanagement approach based on the bestpractice and international industrystandards, including:• Environmental Management Systems and
Impact Assessments• Sources and use of energy and
energy efficiency• Control of pollution• Planning for and dealing with
environmental emergencies
