6 Natural Stress Busters

Kali phos 6x, Coffea, Chamomilla, Nux vom,

Rescue Remedy-FE, Blackcurrant-Gemmo

Cannot cope with

day-to-day stress & strain

Over-stimulated

Overtired

Irritable & Short-tempered

Sensitive

Cerebral fatigue

Irrational fear

Kali phos gifts

Soothes nerves

Helps relax into sleep

Temper tamer

Enhances resiliency

Helps refocus

Brings Perspective

Kali phos 6X: soothes jangled nerves

Tension headaches due to nervous fatigue or too much cerebral work.

Better from rest, fresh air, gentle soothing motion and nourishment.

Coffea

Wakefulness and extreme alertness accompanied by

nervousness, restlessness, anticipation and

hypersensitivity.

All of this leads to fatigue and general weakness, with

insomnia.

Think of the over excitement and ecstatic state before a

trip to Disneyland. The excitement alone that can lead to

complete exhaustion, great sensitivity and irritability.

Insomnia from racing thoughts and activity of the mind.

Chamomilla

Unsurpassed hypersensitivity and anger!!

Inconsolable and capricious-demands something and then throws it away.

A wonderful children’s remedy---picture

the stormy rage of a two year old. Their

pain is worse open air, strong winds,

night and touch. ‘You pick them up and

they want to be put down. You put

them down and they want to be picked

up.’ There is no pleasing a child in a

chamomilla state!

Anger, restlessness and rigid, stiff

bodies!

Nux vom

Tense like a tightly coiled spring

Impatient & Snappish

Driven & Demanding

Angered by contradiction

Sensitivity to stimulation

Nux vom states develop when the “type-A” person over does it, but the state

can develop in any of us when our nerves are overtaxed and we are over-

indulging in too much rich foods, sweets, alcohol, coffee and spicy foods.

Everything backs-up, constipation develops and the body cannot effectively

cleanse. The person may feel like they have a “hangover” even when they

haven’t been drinking.

Exposure to poor quality air, water or food adds to already toxic state.

Q&A-1 from webinar

Q: What potencies do you use when traveling?

A: The same potencies you are comfortable using at home.

Q: Does the radiation from scanners reduce the effectiveness of the remedies?

A: Most homeopaths have not noticed a difference and do put their remedies

through the scanner. You can have the remedies hand checked if you like.

Leave extra time for a hand check.

Q: Can cell salts be taken daily or more frequently than other types of

remedies?

A: Use the cell salts like you use other remedies. Please see the slide titled

“What About Frequency?” Also see the resources on cell salts to learn how to

use them. Practice using them at home before you use them for travel. Most

people do take the cell salts more frequently, but not everyone should. Nobody

should use the homeopathic cell salt remedies as a replacement mineral

supplement. Use all homeopathic remedies when well indicated by symptoms.

Q&A-2 from webinar

Q: Are there any remedies you should never take at the same time?

A: Most remedies should be taken individually, but some cell salts act nicely

when taken together. Please see your cell salt resources for a more detailed

discussion. For more advanced work, refer to Encyclopedia of Remedy

Relationships in Homeopathy by Abdur Rehman. Within the cell salt system,

some practitioners do not give the following at the same time: Calc sulph & Kali

mur, Nat sulph & Nat mur, Silica & Calc sulph

Q: What’s a good remedy for homesickness?

A: Homesickness is often best addressed within the chronic picture, however,

some people find the Flower Essence, Honeysuckle is nice for taking the edge of

homesickness. See HT articles on travel for more discussion.

Q: What company sells the smallest Cell Salt Kit?

A: I & E Organics Apothecary

Q&A-3 from webinar

Q: With regards to immunization, do you recommend homeoprophylaxis?

A: I do know people who have chosen this route. If this is something you are

interested in exploring further, contact Cilla Whatcott, Isaac Golden or Kate Birch

Q: What is a good remedy for seasickness?

A: As with all homeopathic remedies, they have to be matched to the symptom

set. First set to consider: Cooculus, Tabacum, Petroleum, Ipecacuanha. Some

people also use pressure wrist bands-acupressure and ginger. (Maybe ginger

candy.)

Q: Do you have experience traveling with liquid remedies? Do you think it is

wise to have liquid remedies when you fly? I only fly with small qualities of

liquid, because I would be unhappy if they were taken away from me. I also find

they leak if I am not careful due to pressure changes and the normal bouncing

around that travel involves. Usually, if I need a liquid, I make it up when we land.

Q&A-4 from webinar

Q: Can you take just one pellet instead of the usual 3 pellets? Is it just as

effective so that you don’t go through your whole supply while traveling?

A: For most people that number of pellets in not important. The frequency of

dosing is more important. (Not too much or too little.) See slide on “Frequency.”

Q: Where can I find a list of resources for this webinar?

A: See separate handout titled Traveler’s Natural Supply Kit
